  1. I haven't heard from anyone else, so you are the front runner (if you want to look at it that way). Let's continue this with private messages. Thanks.
  2. My brother's family called us out over the weekend. My response will likely be to not make a video and instead make a modest donation. I already make annual donations to a variety of charities that are important to me, and I'll likely keep an ALS donation in the same range as what I give to the others. I like seeing ALS get more $, but I'm not into calling attention to myself or dragging anyone else into the same. Besides, most of the people I know who would be into this kind of attention have already done it.
  3. If they ask me, I'll tell them. Honestly, the gentleman in the couple seems to need to remark on every change to the out of town scoreboard, and I tire of listening to him state the obvious for 3-4 hours at a time. So I won't feel 100% bad if they ask and I truthfully reply. It's also probably good that the guys in front of us (a father-son pair) didn't ask, because we'd have to tell them that we were assigned their seats. They don't talk much at any games, though, which is why I'll miss them in the postseason.
  4. If you're going to mess up anyone's franchise as the Bartman reborn, could you make it the other team instead of the Brewers? At Sunday's game, the fans behind us were talking unhappily about their postseason location. One of them said (gesturing at our section), "Sections like these are reserved for the VIPs." At that point we (SO and I) pretty much both thought, please don't ask us where our seats are, PLEASE DON'T ASK.
  5. I'm late to the 33/32 party, but here is my contribution: http://images.usatoday.com/sports/baseball/_photos/2005-05-17-inside-obermuell.jpg Lil' Wes Obermueller! http://www3.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/LaTroy+Hawkins+Milwaukee+Brewers+v+St+Louis+Ei8ZiuqxnRnl.jpg LaTroy, the Hawk. May we continue to see magic number reduction soon.
  6. Your mom has to like you. Check out Colby Rasmus' porn stache. I guess good for him for escaping STL, but dude does not rate high on the eye-candy scale. http://38.media.tumblr.com/349c230cc8a20296edad323241cb04d3/tumblr_mihj96yOQO1qh1j8eo4_500.jpg
  7. At Tuesday's game, a guest relations employee told us that on Monday evening, the ticket windows (which would usually close at 7:00 PM) stayed open until 7:35 because the lines to buy were so long. On an off day!
  8. I hope I'm not jinxing anything, but there was a palpable "buzz" amid that large crowd last night. It was a BP redemption night, but that doesn't usually result in a Tuesday night sellout. There was a cool anticipatory vibe in the concourses before the game started, and the crowd seemed largely into the game. Even better was that the Brewers lived up to the anticipation. I saw several uncommon jersey/shirseys on fans last night: Francisco Cordero, Mike Cameron, Claudio freakin' Vargas, Alex Gonzalez (the latter a road jersey). A woman who looked older than I wore a bizarre lime green jersey with the Motre Bame 1990s logo. I was more impressed with the player gear. Overall, it's great to see fans turning out and not being shy to rep the Brewers.
  9. Well, it's been able to run for President. The next time it moves, it'll be too "young." http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/512jRn%2B7xdL._SY300_.jpg
  10. Yeah! I haven't thought of that music in what feels like ages, but it came right back to me.
  11. That GIF, though... Meanwhile, I'll throw it back to the respective days of "The Mechanic" and "Mad Dog." http://38.media.tumblr.com/c6f0fcfdd1ca0a6d2975061509e562b8/tumblr_n6yp2veKNX1r9hrxoo1_500.jpg http://milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com/images/2003/07/20/WIosBlej.jpg (he's flanked here by Eddie Perez and Matt Ford)
  12. That's top quality stuff, Augie. Keep up the good work. But can Ryan hit a breakkaball?
  13. Our postseason seats (should the Brewers be involved this year) are one row in front of our loge 20-pack. We must have hit some kind of longevity milestone since 2011. I'm puzzled by there being two possible tiebreaker games. Under what circumstances would a team have to play multiple tiebreakers? The Wild Card game is listed separately on the invoice, so it's not that.
  14. If you are a season seat holder (of at least a 20-pack) and have your My Brewers Tickets login information, the 2014 Postseason charges now appear online, including where you would sit. Remember that at this point, the Brewers have to invoice as if every possible home game would be played (tiebreakers, wild card game, max number of possible NLDS and NLCS home games, and 3 WS games). That may help with the sticker shock. Mailed invoices shouldn't be far away if the information already appears online. So, here's hoping.
  15. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_LJvUULi51sI/S8twptcSgvI/AAAAAAAASf4/OWBHXP2l2cE/s400/Dave+Parker+Brewers+7.jpg You beat me to a Cappy image (since you were presumably awake for the end of the game and I was not), but here's Dave Parker.
  16. It had to be done.

  18. Drat. Well, here's hoping it's valid in an hour or so. Edited 4:28 PM: OK, see my post above. 40.
  19. Detroit 5, Pittsburgh 2. http://binaryapi.ap.org/a093c6da3169474d82b9e2fc69250e88/940x.jpg May we see Johnny Hellweg in a Milwaukee uniform again; and may this not be the only magic number change of the day.

  21. http://localtvwiti.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/wolf-on-sideline.jpg?w=627 Wolfottaras forever! Meanwhile, we can dream about this photo being relevant on two later occasions. Edit: I guess once more, as the Kottaras 9 isn't very visible.
  22. Hi. We cannot attend the August 23 Umbrella Night game. If you are going and will have an extra umbrella that you're willing to trade, please let me know. I have duplicates of some bobbles from 2014 (also some from the past) and an extra Hank towel from the August 6 game. Thanks.
  23. I was curious, so I checked the 2011 magical magic number thread to see how this year's magic number pace compares. On August 9, 2011, the Brewers' magic number was 43. Only one "worse" right now is frankly better than I'd expected.
  24. El Caballo AND MASCOTS. And I don't know how to read Bernie's body language there.
