  1. It's being reported that Giannis won the MVP
  2. The Clippers did lose to an inferior team, but you can't really say enough about how amazing Murray and Jokic have played the last week. Those two guys have been absolutely incredible.
  3. When I worked on the help desk of a Madison based telecom company, people threatened to sue me personally almost every day. I usually was grateful, because as soon as they said it, I got to say " In that case I have to refer your case to our legal department" and hang up.

  6. A pessimist would ask why the hell didn't they do that last year. At least it'd give you a ~21 million dollar contract to trade. But I like to be optimistic. Better to tell him you're willing to spend than nothing at all I guess. I think after being two games away from the finals the previous year, the idea was they would take that experience and build on it. Before the bubble, this was almost a 70 win team. we can analyze and discuss all we want what happened in the bubble to the bucks. The layoff hurt their timing more than other teams. They had their minds on other things. Bud isn't a good playoff coach. It can be any or all of those things, but at the end of the day they put together a 70 win team. Whatever else they didn't do they had the talent to win. It fell apart in the end and it sucks. Hearing that they're going to go out and rebuild it and make it better is encouraging. There's no way bud can't hear the criticism of being a poor playoff coach. I hope he hears that and takes it to heart and looks in a mirror and tries to dig deep and see what he can do to be better. I don't think for a second the talent was the problem, I think Bud needs to adjust his strategies once we are playing a best of seven instead of a best of 82.

  9. Anthony Rizzo and Kris Bryant have also been terrible, while David freaking Bote looks like Carl Yastrzemski. 2020 is a weird, sucky year. My question then is: what's causing all of these great players to struggle so much this year? Just seems so odd that you have a bunch of these MVP level players all hitting around .200. I can't speak for all of these other guys, but Yeli just has no clue at the plate right now. It can't be a different baseball, because he's not even making contact with it 1/2 of the time - so that's not the issue. Like others have said - he's swinging right through FB's down the middle of the plate, and looks like he's seeing breaking balls for the first time in his life as he pulls off the ball and whiffs way over the top of them. I just don't get it. At this point, I honestly wouldn't be mad if they faked an injury for him and just shut him down the rest of the year. Give him the final two weeks of the season to clear his mind and then send him to AZ this fall (if they are allowed to open up the ST facilities) to have him work on his swing for a month (or however long it takes to get things right again). A 1-2 day mental break won't do it at this point. My guess, and it's just a guess... For some of these guys it was probably the huge change to what has become an incredibly structured routine. Spring training specific drills spring training games and then the season. That was all interrupted and everything's been thrown completely out of whack. They didn't even get spring training games all they did was face their own pitchers from their own team for a few weeks in July. More than a few players have complained about not being able to watch video in between at bats. I know the counter argument would be that shouldn't be that big a deal, and I agree. If you go back to a time when they didn't have video rooms or things like that.... But they do have that now and that is what these guys are used to. It's a tool they have and suddenly they don't and it is completely changed their routine. we could argue whether or not it should have ever been allowed. But it has been allowed and now it has been taken away. For yelich, maybe he's still finding his timing after the knee injury but when you look at guys like bellinger and Baez and others who are struggling, there's more to it. The game has completely tilted in favor of pitchers. It's horribly boring to watch now. Teams are averaging over 9Ks per 9 innings.I have always firmly been in the strikeouts don't matter camp, but watching teams struggle to just put balls in play is just incredibly boring, and this season especially, with no fans in the stands and teams striking out at an absurd pace and star players putting up middle infield stats...

  12. Cody Bellinger is hitting .218 with a .715 OPS. Javy Baez is hitting .203 with a .601 OPS. JD Martinez is hitting .205 with a .648 OPS There's a lot of dudes struggling this year.

  15. The Vikings never possessed the ball in the 2nd half with a chance to take the lead.
  16. Skip Bayless is a dolt and a loud mouth. He's doing exactly what Fox pays him to do, which is stir up controversy and be an..... Expletive. I'm honestly not even sure if he really believes half of the things he says. He has the feel of a guy playing a character.. l He's being talked about, which is exactly what he wants, because now people are searching and replaying the video of what did Skip Bayless say about Dak Prescott? Was it out of line? Sure. Was it absolutely insensitive and way off base? It absolutely was. Does Fox really care? Probably not.
  17. I would definitely agree that there had to be some degree of bad luck to give up that many homers in that small of a sample size but he wasn't locating his pitch is very well last year. He was leaving fastballs up. His sequencing wasn't great. you can look at the numbers and say he performed better than the numbers, but there's a lot more to the numbers as well. There was some bad luck and he worked on some things. He's been really good this year. Absolutely no doubt about it but I don't think he's the same guy he was last year I think he's improved
  18. Burnes is all over the NL leaderboard. Second in k per 9. I think 6th in strikeouts. First in hits allowed for 9 innings and 6th in Whip. Hard to believe he was one of the worst pitchers in the league last year.
  19. Joe west sucks but I don't think it's asking a lot for a general manager to behave with a little bit of decorum.

  21. Precisely. The Bucks looked flat the minute the nba started back up. It sucks. They just didn't look ready to go. They limped to the finish line and scuffled to put away Orlando. It is what it is. Wish this season had turned out differently but all any of us can do is deal with the circumstances that are in front of us in the best way we see fit.

  23. https://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/split.cgi?t=b&team=MIL&year=2020 84 K's in 339 PA's. 24.7% for the season they have 376 K's in 1421 PA's. 26.5% They strike out less with RISP.
