  1. well. we didn't get the points but neither will Tampa Tom.
  2. possible early dagger to putting tampa right back in it
  3. lazard just blew chunks on the sideline
  4. your hate for hiura is growing wildly stronger. emperor palpatine approved.
  5. I guess when your receiving corps is Allen Lazard and a bunch of rookies (all due respect.... Randall Cobb), I feel like the team shouldn't be gambling on the health of a guy like Sammy Watkins. Sure, it's not costing them a lot of money, but I don't think that's the point. Maybe Watson and Doubs will get into the flow of the offense faster than expected, but I feel like they were counting on Watkins more than we think they were. Hopefully he's just out the four games or so, but I'm not holding my breath.
  6. it went right through Bell's hands. OSU guy might have broken it up anyways, but Mertz finally made a throw and Bell just whiffed on it.
  7. Woulda been nice if Bell had held onto that going into the 2nd half with the ball.
  8. Joel Stave was never a guy I thought was very accurate. Even when he did complete passes, he hit his guy behind his hands or out of stride, or down on one knee. Dude could throw a ball 60 yards down the field though.
  9. why is Burnes still out there with an 8 run lead
  10. I was definitely not expecting to be down 28 - 0 minutes into the 2nd quarter. Heck, Kent St. gave a ghost of a battle against Georgia today., and lost by less than 20. I wasn't expecting to win. I wasn't expecting them to even be within striking distance in the end.... but I expected them to show up, lol. This is sad and embarrassing.
  11. Getting absolutely clowned. I hate Paul Chryst so much.
  12. Watkins put on IR and will miss (at least) the next four games. Gasp. Shocker.
  13. Increased walk rate to just about league average this year, carrying an OPS+ of 118. Ideally he'll be DH-ing full time or mostly full time either here (or somewhere else) next year, to mitigate his poor defense.
  14. Never has had 100 in a season. 90+ only twice. So 1000 in a 14 year career at least means he's been pretty consistent I guess.
  15. I will say this about Hiura and the 42% K rate. Looking at it in a vacuum, it's just a number without context. Comparable to the rest of the league, Rob Deer had a worse K-rate than Hiura, if you look at K rate+ We're in a different era of baseball where strikeouts are more acceptable than ever, even if they still lead to less desirable results. Joey Gallo has struck out for 37% of his PA's in his career and is a 110 ops+ performer. Definitely not the norm, but high K-rate guys can be successful if the contact they're making is good contact and they draw enough walks.
  16. Fields has all the athletic ability in the world, but his field awareness needs to improve a ton before he can unlock his potential at this level.
  17. we had people calling game at 24-7 so I'm not quite ready to call game with 8+ minutes yet.
  18. A fumble and a botched snap are turning what was a rout into an unnecessary game.
  19. That's about the only thing that's gonna slow the Packers down tonight.......self inflicted wounds.
  20. "even the officials can't keep up with him" Yeah, 50-some year old line judges are gonna go step for step with an NFL running back. jeepers.
  21. maybe he doesn't want sweat on his arms making the ball more slippery... just taking a wild guess.
  22. badgers have done everything they needed to do today. nothing more or less.
