    That Trevor Bauer story is also has some legs. I'm sure the Indians are really happy that he is destroying his trade value. Harassing 21 year old girls on Twitter isn't a good look. It's one thing to dig up tweets from a 15 or a seventeen-year-old and say hey you said some really terrible things when you were a teenager and you're an awful person. This guy is actively on Twitter being a complete tool, and the Indians have told him multiple times to tone it down, and he says that's just who I am and you're going to have to deal with it.

    The really sad part about this is there were warning signs out there before. It sounds like, this could have and should have been avoided. Hopefully this dude gets put in prison for a long-ass time.

    Yeah, just watching the games, there's no doubt that Bledsoe is the #2 guy on the Bucks. I love Brogdon, but he can't create the way Bledsoe can. I coveted Bledsoe way back to the days he was on the Clips, and was ecstatic when we got him.

    The counter argument is that MLB owners can afford to take the hit if it doesn't work out. If the goal is to win a World Series, these big FAs make your team better, especially at the front end of the deal. You are paying for the rest of his career production regardless of how many years it occurs in. Machado was the #1 target at the trade deadline and now suddenly nobody wants him? I could see it if Machado and Harper were 29, but they should be just coming into their prime. I don't necessarily agree with everything above, but I do think we will see pre-arbitration MLB players making considerably more money in a future CBA and possibly earlier free agency. The efforts to save money are too widespread given the simultaneous record revenues. Yeah, I think everyone understands the "it's a business" side of things, but it's really hard for owners to cry poor when the books are open enough to see that the player's piece of revenue pie has been getting smaller, percentage wise, year by year. It's not unwise to not give guys huge contracts during their 35 - 40 age years, it's counter productive, but the players (fairly) want to be compensated. SOmething's gonna give, and soon.

    Yeah, the 10 + year deals may be quickly becoming a thing of the past. Unless you sign something like that in your pre-arby years and buy out some of your first 3-4 free agency years.

    That Trevor Bauer situation over the last four five days is weird as heck. He's always been known as kind of a tool, but that situation really takes the cake. I'm usually in the camp that doesn't really care what players do I have the field as long as they're not getting suspended, but he's a guy I absolutely don't want to see the Brewers ever pursue

    It's interesting that we keep alleged steroid users out of the Hall of Fame, but Kirby Puckett is in the Hall of Fame and he is an alleged multiple-time sexual harasser. He paid off one female twins employee that he allegedly sexually harassed, supposedly threatens to kill his wife, and had affairs with several women. If we're going to invoke the Integrity rule , why doesn't it apply to this guy? Is it because none of the stuff happened on the field?

    I've stopped playing this hypothetical game because of the arguments presented here. Harold Baines is in. Barry Bonds is not. Gaylord Perry is in. Rodger Clemens is not. There are cheaters who are in. There are cheaters who are not. There are mediocre players who are in. There are absolute all-time great players who are not. There's a commissioner who knowingly presided over a Time in baseball when probably at least one-third of the players were juicing, if not more and the players who made his game so popular are not in, but he is. As others have stated to Tony larussa is in. The Baseball Hall of Fame is irretrievably broken

    Bucks were 41 of 60 shooting on 2 pt shots last night. Also, apparently last night was the first time since the 76/77 season a team had 12 players score 8+ points.

    I think they "can". I don't think they're favorites. That's still the Warriors. Especially if Boogie comes back, and plays even 60% of the way we know he can play. I think this is finally the year the Bucks break through and WIN A PLAYOFF SERIES!!!! OMG OMG OMG and maybe even 2, or even 3, and get to the finals. I think the East is the Raps and the Bucks. The Celts just don't seem to be a serious contender (convince me otherwise), and the Pacers might have a record a slight notch below the BUcks and Raps, but I just don't see it. The West.......wow. There's a whole lotta teams within a few games of the top seed. I think ultimately it's the Warriors, the Nuggets or maaaaaaaybe the Lakers. I think they're still a year away though.

    I used to be in the camp of "I love 3 hour baseball games", but not so much anymore. I just feel like there's so much dead time, that even though I want to say 3 hours of entertainment is worth the money I spend, I'm not really being entertained for 3 hours. I went to a Badger basketball game back in November, and it was over in an hour 45, and it just seemed like it flew by. Didn't feel like by the end I was sitting there like "come on, can we just get this over with?"

    He almost got memorialized by Giannis in that game too. Paschke dissed Leuer in the most rude way too. It was tremendous. "You used to play here. You don't anymore"

    Almost half way through the season, the Bucks currently have the best record in the NBA.

    I don't know, Maker looks like my 5 year old granddaughter could punch a hole through him. Wilson isn't a big guy either, but at least he has a little bit of muscle on him, and as you noted, isn't afraid to get inside and throw down. Maker is paper-thin, and just has no desire to get inside at all.

    Wilson is just a more physical player than Maker. He will get inside and bang and throw his body around, and Maker is just way too lean to have any kind of physical presence. Maker has a decent shot, and he can provide a little bit of offense, so he at least has a role on the team, but Wilson has already surpassed him in that (as Geezy said) he can really go up and get boards and he plays some tough defense as well. REALLY nice to see, as last year (and even early this year) he looked like a complete bust. He might not turn into a 30 minute a game guy, but he's already turning into a solid 2nd unit guy, and can play with the starters and not bog the offense down.

    If you hate dogs just because you don't like them, then I think you'd just have to deal with it. I hate people and have to be around them every day. If someone is allergic to dogs, then I think obviously that's a discussion that has to be had.

    Everyone reacts to stress and pressure in very different ways. Saying "this is what I did and was successful, therefore finals wouldn't/shouldn't be stressful for others if they worked hard" is just incorrect for a lot of reasons.

    Nice come-from-behind win tonight. Wilson getting some quality minutes again with nine points and 10 boards. Wasn't sure we'd ever see any value out of that dude, so getting quality minutes out of him is really nice.

    I think he'll be top five probably top three but the usual cast of characters are going to Jumble this mess up as usual. Paul George is also a dark horse candidate. He has been playing unbelievable, and pushing Oklahoma City to the top of the West standings. I don't know if he's quite an MVP candidate but he sure is creating a lot of Buzz around his name early in the season.
