  1. Man, really glad they took 3/4 from the Nats, but can't help but think that should have been a sweep. Still, we're pushing into September and it looks like we'll be only 1/2 game behind the Rocks by the time the day ends today. Offense woke up today and Showmingo put on a display.
  2. Suter only pitching 3 today, was that the plan? Im at work doing inventory, I didnt read up any pregame.
  3. This is the byproduct of having no other reliable relievers besides Hader and Knebel.
  4. Just have to say that at this point ... Scherzer is out of the game, its the 6th inning, and the Brewers are winning. Crucial to hang on and win a game that you would have kind of figured for an L with Scherzer starting. Cant lose this one now.
  5. What just happened? How did kendrick not score with murphy trying to get to 2nd?
  6. Vuke. Fingers CC Sheeters? NL only, so Fingers and Vuke dont count. CC and Sheets are correct. CC placed highest in Brewer NL Cy Young history, 5th place. Oops. Misread the question. Greinke? Gallardo I think finished 7th in 2011 or something there abouts.
  7. Vuke. Fingers CC Sheeters? No on sheets. Has to be Higuera.
  8. Unbelievably, that's more than they got for Scooter. If there was a contest to see how many different threads you could bring up Gennett in that have nothing to do with Gennett, I assure you, you'd be winning it, hands down.
  9. Jansen is the premier closer in the game. He's never had a season of less than 13 K/9, and hasn't had a WHIP over .8 in three years. If it was as simple as hitting pitches "right down the middle", he wouldn't be putting up Playstation numbers year after year.
  10. Agreed. It shouldnt matter that he didnt "touch" the ball, that was absolutemy a play that should have been made.
  11. Nelson dealing today AND getting some run support. Lets get into that LA bullpen
  12. Up 3-0 on the Dodgers. As ugly as that Giants series was, closing this out and making it a 5-4 trip, and being down only 2 games would be a big deal.
  13. And that's not a crazy story at all.... :p
  14. I'd agree that it's a 3 team race, but I think just about every publication heavily favors the Cubs from here on out, if they didn't already. They're up 2 games, have more talent on paper, and have an easier schedule. I don't know of a single projection system out there that has them less than 70% for winning the divsion at this point.
  15. When you have a 2 run lead in the 7th you should win. Whether its 5 to 3 or 2 to 0 or 7 to 5, most of the time, you should win. If you dont, it is because the pen blew it.
  16. Heres an idea. Dont go to Barnes in a game crucial situation ..... Sigh
  17. So...... Garza is left in yesterday to get absolutely shelled, Woodruff is pulled at the first sign of trouble? Is Woodruff hurt or something?
  18. Colorado inflates batting averages much more than it does power numbers these days
