  1. Joe Barry literally has no idea what he's doing. You could pick a 14 year old kid out of the stands who plays Madden on his playstation and he'd have a better grasp of how to call a defense than this. It's so ridiculously, maddeningly frustrating that LaFleur won't do something about this embarrassingly hilarious farce. This refusal to recognize such an incompetence should be (but won't) the impetus to fire LaFleur this off-season.
  2. we're lucky B Young is terrible so far in his young career and struggles to hit wide open receievers.
  3. I like how Kraft has come on the last few weeks. Not a huge fan of him trying to hurdle guys to get two extra yards downfield. The risk/reward isn't worth it.
  4. That's about all he's worth.
  5. Nah. Just can't run into plant leg.
  6. The wild thing is everyone knows this except MLF.
  7. I wanna see Mayfield get to 400. Come on, let's do this.
  8. If this ain't the game that gets Barry fired, just accept that it's not happening.
  9. I mean, I know we're all just a bunch of dudes on a message board, but it is a good question. How DOES MLF "evaluate" his defense? "points allowed" is lacking a ton of context, and if he can honestly look at this effort and playcalling and play making week in and week out and consider this adequate, his own evaluation skills need to be called into question.
  10. 2nd and 29 and Godwin catches a 25 yard pass with his defender still 5 yards downfield from where he caught the ball. I know you don't wanna give up a TD, but you also want to at least *try* to deny them field goal range.
  11. Prevent defense prevents you from winning.
  12. The argument for this nonsense is always "there's nothing to lose" and "maybe they're setting up a fake three years from now". There is something to lose. The three minutes of my life that I have to watch them stand there for 30 seconds, then they take the penalty, go to a commercial, come back, punt anyways, and then go to another commercial, when they could have just punted in the first place. Maybe I can petition the NFL to make clock violations on 4th down a 15 yard penalty and the Packers will stop doing this.
  13. Have they ever actually done this? I don't recall them "faking" anyone out with a last second snap.
  14. I mean, hurrying to score. Should have been burning more clock.
  15. Missed field goal and a blundered two point conversion. For some mystical reason, rushing the offense into scoring with 2 minutes left for the Giants, and I have no idea what LaFleur is doing.
  16. Right. They'll make their money on shirts, jerseys, shirsys, and all sorts of what - have- you. Which is the point of a business after all. They'll recoup the 700 million. And probably continue making money off of his NIL well after he's done playing. Will they win a title? Maybe. Possibly. It's even likely within the next 4-5 years, I'd wager. But certainly not guaranteed. But they'll almost certainly make money off the guy. Which is the point, of course.
  17. Nothing for the refs to get wrong on that incomplete. Thank goodness.
  18. If they miss , that's REALLY good field position for Mahomes. Good lord that was a dumb playcall.
  19. the ol nobody cover Kelse defense is kinda suspect.
  20. Exactly. No matter how many teams there are in the playoffs, there's a "debate" when they are chosen subjectively. Conference champs is easy. Any other teams after that is open to debate, and the last 2-3 in vs the last 2-3 out will *always* be open to debate. Every single year.
  21. It goes back to the phrase "aesthetically pleasing" being used about the way the game is viewed. Having so few balls in play does not make for a pleasing game to watch. People within baseball are aware of this. Don Mattingly said it in an interview either last year or '21 (don't remember which, sorry). That being said, rushing the game to conclusion and changing the rules to come to said conclusion (and even altering outcomes to get more favorable individual conclusions) doesn't automatically make the game more enjoyable.
  22. Going to a bowl game with a 5-7 record is just wrong. I always felt 6-6 was just laughable, because it allowed a team to lose the bowl game and end the season with a losing record. Now they're taking teams with 5-7 records to fill out the slate of bowl games. EL-OH-EL.
  23. Hey! A stop!
