  1. As much as I agree that we'd 100% get demolished by Georgia (no doubt about it), I still don't know how we'd even jokingly say we don't want the Badgers to win as many games as possible, and at least TRY to be in that position. We'd have been piledrived by Michigan in the Big ten title game, that doesn't mean I'm happy we lost to Minnesota, and didn't get the opportunity to at LEAST go out there and try.
  2. I agree with that. Watching Alabama soak up a roster that has a 3-deep bench that is better than starters than most other Power 5 schools is really disheartening not just as a fan of a school like WIsconsin, but as a college football fan in general. Alabama is in the title game for the 7th time in 8 years. That's dumb. And boring. We all knew Cincinnati had no chance today, but we hoped. Hoped the ball would bounce funny 3-4 times and give them a chance to just make a play at the end. Like you said, I don't know how they can change it (they likely can't), but I don't even care as a Wisconsin fan that they'll likely only ever have a ghost of a shot at getting in the playoff......what I care is that as a fan of College Football, it's the SAME teams every single year, and this is getting super, super, super boring.
  3. I think the playoff has proven that the old way probably wasn't all that broken. Yeah it lead to some seasons where there was some controversy, but this isn't all that better (if at all) This is dumb and unnecessary.
  4. Oh yeah. Forgot about them. After we blew the B10 title game I put Penn St on the list as well.
  5. Yup. Michigan is gonna get clowned, as expected. We are staying on script here.
  6. I normally do. but I can't root for MI, osu and pj fleck is just super annoying.
  7. just put the 2 sec division champs in the title game. there is no need to expand the playoffs
  8. Cincy had a couple opportunities to make it a one score game, but they don't have the athletes to stay on the field with 11 future NFL guys.
  9. and yet the game will come down to a score late.
  10. He's also been blessed to have otherworldly receivers in Diggs, Thielen and now Jefferson that have certainly made him look better than he is. Not to mention one of the top all-purpose backs in the NFL in Cook. The Vikings have surrounded a soundly mediocre (at best) QB in Cousins with superstar level skill position talent, arguably at the sacrifice of other more pressing roster needs. The Packers have taken the opposite approach for the most part. Put Rodgers on the Vikings, and that offense would be unstoppable. Put Cousins on the Packers, and you have a 4-win team. Sure, and guys like Diggs and Jefferson can't put up the numbers they do without someone competent getting them the ball. Jefferson is putting up the best *numbers* season in his first two years that a guy has ever had in the NFL. That doesn't happen with a *suck* QB. I already said that Cousins isn't in the class of Rodgers/Brady/Mahomes, but you absolutely can't put up three straight 100 QBR seasons just because you have good receivers. I get it, you hate the guy because he's a Viking (I do too), but he's not THAT bad.
  11. Cousins is pretty solidly average, at worst. 3 straight seasons of a QBR over 100. Even if he doesn't make the big splashy plays, I'd say a guy that puts up his numbers doesn't "suck". Vikings defense isn't very good, and he's saddled with a coach who lacks imagination (where have we seen that before). Dude's on track to put up some very solid career numbers before he's done. He's not terrible, he's just not in the class of a Rodgers/Brady/Mahomes.
  12. That's a heck of a drive. I'm sure ASU couldn't have imagined never seeing the ball again after that punt getting downed at the 3
  13. At this point it doesn't matter what it looks like, just get the W. Finish the season and figure out how to go into 22 better than 21.
  14. Even a FG here will probably put this game away. I don't see ASU having the ability to score twice in 4-ish minutes against this D
  15. Nice toss by Mertz. They left Dike WIDE open.
  16. well, the 5 yard penalty cost the Badgers about 20-ish yards of field position, so that sucks.
  17. I mean, dude tried to sell it, but that was not roughing the kicker.
  18. Herbig has been getting good pressure up the middle all night.
  19. He had an easy (easy) pick, and just played wild and was leaping (with his arms open!) like he had a play on the ball, 7 yards past the play.
  20. 3rd and 17, so he chucks it into triple coverage for 35 yards.
  21. This offense is so so so boring and vanilla. One might say it's because of the personnel, the lack of playmakers, whatever, but as a coach, you have to do SOMETHING to give your guys that you have some kind of opportunity to be successful and just doing what they're doing is boring, vanilla, bland, and isn't working, and it just doesn't make sense to keep trying to do it over and over again.
  22. 3rd and forever now... let's hold em.
  23. QB throws a bad ball on 3rd and long and WR tips it to a teammate.
  24. If you're holding the ball that long and you don't have anybody, throw it away.
  25. Hope you're right. RIding the bike. He's trying to work out a cramp.
