  1. Where are they going to play? Who's going to run/own the minor leagues? Which network is going to break their deal with MLB and broadcast games? How quickly could they get all this done? These guys aren't going to give up a year or two of their careers to get a start up league of the ground to 'stick it to the owners', because there's no way you just put the massive infrastructure for baseball in place overnight. They're going to hammer out a deal, both sides will give concessions, and we'll be watching baseball soon enough.
  2. I'm almost a lifelong Bucks fan, and just like the Brewers, I had nearly reached the point where seeing a title was pretty much a pipedream, a "not gonna happen". Giannis blossomed and then it became a possibility, and then they crapped out in both of their 1-seed seasons. Watching them come from down 2-0 against the nets, that epic game 7 (shut up about the toe), losing Giannis against the Hawks, coming back from down 2-0 again, and Giannis having the best close out game in finals history, as a fan of the Bucks since I was a wee lad in grade school when it was Sidney Moncrief and Terry Cummings and Paul Pierce and Alton Lister? Yeah, that's a top of my lifetime sports memory. I've seen a Packers super bowl win. 2011 was a pretty awesome playoff run, but I've seen a Super Bowl win. 2011 was a fun Brewers season, but that choke job in the NLCS has left a permanent sour taste in my mouth. Just brutal. 21. The Bucks are champs. The Packers were good. The Brewers were good. Trifecta for me. Packers might run to the SB.
  3. Much better... Very nice win. This is an easy team to like. I've been tempering my enthusiasm a bit. After today I'm pretty sold. Davis has been carrying the team, even on his poor shooting nights. Today the team picked him up. It's nice to know it's more than just JD and "a bunch of guys".
  4. Ok. Good win. good team win.
  5. I may have spoken too soon...... yikes.
  6. Nice win over a top 25 team when Johnny D didn't play well at all. It was gonna happen sooner or later and the rest of the guys rose to the occasion.
  7. logistics would be a nightmare. would never get off the ground.
  8. I don't care about a patch as long as it doesn't dominate the uniform. I don't even notice them on the NBA uniforms
  9. I don't get the people who say "this is a boring movie with a twist ending". It's a great movie that builds to the climax for sure, but it's not boring unless once expected a cowboy shoot em' up because it's labelled a Western. The pieces were laid out really well, the relevant information was set up in all the right places so that when the reveal happened, it wasn't a "huh???" moment, but more of a "oh yeah" moment that with hindsight, was built up to with a lot of intelligent writing. I'll for sure say it's not the type of movie I usually watch, but I went into it understanding that it wasn't an action/Cowboy movie, and got rewarded for having an open mind.
  10. Well. Alabama didn't win?
  11. My favorite player, Wahl is 0-17 and they have been winning. Good sign. Probably a good sign that he shouldn't be out on the perimeter chuckin up 3's.
  12. This bench is hot trash. That might be offensive to trash.
  13. Bench is 3 of 23 shooting (again) tonight and trying to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
  14. The record, schedule, and quality of victories says they're ranked right around where they should be. 3 pt shooting needs to be better (like, a lot better).
  15. No, I wasn't suggesting that at all. I just mean as a general philosophy, I think that's something the team in general will try to carry forward as well as they can. Just being "turnover averse".
  16. I don't expect Jordan Love (or whoever the next guy is) to throw only one pick every 3-4 games, but I think Lafleur shares the "turnover averse" philosophy that Rodgers has instilled into the offense. I think that's something that will really be pushed hard onto Love if he's the guy that takes the reins from Rodgers going forward.
  17. something that had about a 1/250 chance of happening to thwart Pittsburgh's playoff chances...... and here we are.
  18. Yeah, with Rodger's situation, this is really an "all in" year. Anything short of the Super Bowl is going to feel disappointing, no matter what kind of "well, it was a good year nonetheless" spin anyone puts on it. I'm not at all suggesting that there should be a complete tear down and rebuild... but I guess we'll see what kind of shape we're in cap-wise if Rodgers does decide to leave or whatever.
  19. A lot of NFL QBs have played on good teams, but no one else has 7 super bowl wins. Down playing the greatness of Brady is just silly talk. I will admit, when he was a Patriot, I rooted against him all the time. Not because I didn't like the man himself, just got tired of watching him win. So I completely understand why so many are against him, and don't want to give him props. I'm not downplaying him at all. I think (as has been pointed out by multiple other people) proclaiming an opinion as a "fact" and "not worth debating" is just as silly as downplaying Brady's accomplishments. Even if 99 out of 100 people agree with you, it's still just that, an opinion.
  20. He definitely has the most rings, so he played on a lot of good teams.
  21. It'd be a choke job if the defense got completely annihilated like that.
  22. I'm off the next few days. I've been meaning to watch this.
  23. We'll be fine. Gonna be pretty close to full strength, or as close as a team can be expected to be at this point in the season.
  24. For the people that get mad when their receivers run 6 yard patterns on 3rd and 8, there is nothing like a qb sneak on 2nd and 9, and then also on 3rd and 9, and your coach coming out and saying "we were setting up the punt". Have the Giants fired this guy yet??
  25. Joe Judge when asked why he ran a qb sneak up the middle on 2nd and then 3rd down from his own 4 yard line. "we were setting up the punt". This dude is a gutless coward who (we already knew) shouldn't be a coach of any sort in the NFL.
