  1. Murray is 24.
  2. I'm not super worried about SF. The only team in the NFC that I think is on the level with the Packers is the Bucs, and maybe the Cowboys. However, with McCarthy as their coach, he can mismanage his way to a loss like nobodies business.
  3. There goes the Vikings' gameplan of ramming Cook into the line 32 times. Of course they'll just do that with Mattison now. Zimmer's coaching philosophy is straight out of 1987. As I recall, Cousins passed for about 350 yards against us a couple weeks ago. Cook had a decent game, but Cousins shredded us going repeatedly to Jefferson and Thielen.
  4. Also, it's weird that because of injuries and covid, Pat Connaughton has played 100 more minutes than anyone else on the team, and we're almost halfway through the season.
  5. Boogie Cousins really stepping in and playing some good minutes right now. I know the Mavs were without Doncic last night, but still nice to pick up the win on the road without G, and see Boogie playing 20+ minutes in a back-to-back and really contributing quite a bit.
  6. Might need to climb up on the roof & check the antenna? I wonder where the Netflix antenna is.......
  7. Watching season 2 of the Witcher atm. One thing that isn't a spoiler. In the world of The Witcher, it is absolute, always, 100% of the time, always, always, lightly snowing. It is never snowing heavily, and it is never not snowing. It is always, always, ALWAYS, lightly snowing. Amazing.
  8. I know Bader is good defensively, but I just don't see a ton of upside offensively with him. There is no way he's a 4.3 WAR player. That seems crazy. he's definitely a 4.3 war player if he plays 140 games.
  9. Unfortunately, unlike in the comics, actors will eventually show the effects of aging. I liked Loki quite a bit, Hawkeye has been ok, and the villain reveal was interesting. I just don't think the new, young characters are going to be interesting enough to keep people interested enough to spend money by the billions the way they have been for the last decade plus
  10. ] There's a lot more competition in the streaming market than there is in cable, simply because if you have internet, you can get whatever streaming you want. If you live in an area, you have to get whatever cable option is available in that area. Where I live, it's Charter, AT&T, or nothing. I don't see at least a near future where there won't be enough streaming services competing with each other to keep rates at least somewhat competitive.
  11. Baseball and basketball are easier to put a stat like that and line it up. With football that is rather hard to do. You would have to put weight on the outcome which could be tricky. I believe QB's should only get credit for the yards that they actually threw the ball and not anything that comes after the play. For example if a QB throws a screen pass and it goes for a big gain who really did all of the work? Should the receiver on the screen pass get a higher percentage of putting the team in scoring position or does the QB as they threw the ball but that is about it. What about a receiver catching a 5-yard pass and then breaking tackles and going for a larger gain is that also something the QB should be credited for? To me the QB generated 5-yards and the receiver generated the rest so everything after the receiver catching the ball is on the receiver with the QB getting a lower percentage of the outcome. That is extremely complicated to put together though it would be interesting to see. I think that's simplifying it too much though. there's qbs who consistently hit their guys in stride and give them opportunities to open it up for big plays and yards after catch, and then there's guys who might have decent completion percentage, but aren't hitting the receivers in places to provide opportunities for big plays. a lot of those YAC come directly as a result of an accurate qb
  12. the last NFL MVP from a non playoff team was 1973. if the colts don't make the playoffs, Taylor won't be the MVP. agree or not, that's how the voters vote. I think, on the other hand, he probably has offensive POTY all but wrapped up at this point.
  13. if the colts win out, take the division. and he gets around 1900 or so yards, I think Taylor gets it. he won't get it if the colts don't make the playoffs. if the Packers take the 1 seed and Rodgers is still sporting a 110 or so qb rating, he's gonna be hard to ignore. last night hurt Brady a lot (imo of course)
  14. Jones and Dillon are definitely a step up from Fournette and Jones Jr. I'll agree that Brady has a better receiving corps, but one only need to look at last night when his guys went down to see how he fared. in contrast, look at Rodgers game against AZ without Adams and MVS when he still got it done on the road against a 6-0 team missing his top 2 wr.
  15. That's game
  16. Saints are gonna be 7-7, with a 38-3 stomping of the Packers, and a shutout of the Buccaneers.
  17. Saints just gave Hill a huge contract extension. For some reason.
  18. League average on 2 pt conversions is 50%. If you make it, you're forcing Rodgers to go 30 - 40 yards to give Crosby his 60% chance at a field goal before taking the W. There's a lot of math manipulation there, but it's not a bad call. It's not a right or wrong call, it's just not a bad call. Going for it on 4th at their own 29 wasn't a bad call. If the Packers didn't score a TD, they had plenty of time to score twice, which is exactly what they did. If they punt the ball away, they were giving the Packers a a lot of field to eat a lot of clock and put the game completely out of reach.
  19. Punting there was surrendering. 7 here puts the game away.
  20. MVS has had a nice game tonight.
