  1. Tampa barely snuck past the Jets. Chiefs blew a 14 point lead. Everyone has warts. That being said, I hope we figure ours out before the playoffs start.
  2. That sounded like Bojorquez was kicking a block of wood.
  3. I'd have liked to have just taken the 3 there.
  4. That didn't look too good. Hope ol' fella is ok.
  5. I'd like to think that's the case but I was just talking with a high school teacher recently and this is pretty much the student behavior he described that he deals with everyday. May be true, but AB is like 33 years old. I'm not saying AB has mental problems. He may. He might not. But generally.... generally if a 33 year old is behaving this way, it's probably because he's got some stuff going on.
  6. I'm guessing the Jets will pay for him to catch a different flight. Putting him on the team plane will be a disruption. This was an almost entirely predictable end to his tenure in the NFL. Maybe not stripping down and running out of a stadium, but I think him having some kind of meltdown and getting cut was always in the cards.
  7. Bruce Arians just cut Antonio Brown.
  8. Colts lost to the Raiders and Bucs came back and (Barely) beat the Jets while Brady throws for 410, so that probably puts a huge dent in JT's MVP chances.
  9. all the jokes that will be coming aside, the dude needs help. His career is done. Hopefully he gets help.
  10. Nah. I can't see Arians defending this. He already said Brown was on his last strike. He's done.
  11. I don't care about the Big3 in Brooklyn, I feel like fully healthy (that's a big if, obviously) the Bucks are the best team in the East. I'd really love to see a Bucks/Warriors finals.
  12. I think the playoff has proven that the old way probably wasn't all that broken. Yeah it lead to some seasons where there was some controversy, but this isn't all that better (if at all) This is dumb and unnecessary. It will be hard for anyone to convince me that the playoff games have generated a better product than the non-playoff bowl games the last few days. Every year in the middle of the season people chirp about expanding the playoffs, and every year by the time we get to the championship game it has been proven that no more than four schools belong in the playoffs, if that. This is where I'm at. I realize I'm in a tiny minority, but I wouldn't care at all if we went back to the old way. I disagree that "the other games don't matter" Watching the Rose Bowl was fun. It mattered to the players, the fans, and ostensibly, to the people watching. The Tennessee/Purdue game was fun. *Maybe* the defenses weren't trying, ha, but those guys were out there giving it all they had to get to 9 wins. I know there's people that think that doesn't matter, but those games were fun to watch. Even the Iowa/Kentucky game was a good, defensive battle right to the end yesterday. Most of these schools know that "4th 10 win season in school history" or something like that or "Sugar Bowl Champs" is the goal that they can realistically shoot for. The Natty is for Bama, Clemson, Ohio State, and maybe 3 to 5 other schools to scrap over. That's 100% the reality of college football. It is. If you're a fan of college football, you have to accept that or just not be a fan. If you're a fan of Wisconsin, you accept that going to the Rose Bowl once a decade (or the Orange Bowl, or whatever) is in reality, the goal of the program. Natty's aren't in our DNA. Unless/Until there's a massive, fundamental way the NCAA changes the business side of the sport, this is how it is.
  13. Idk. To be honest the last few days.......watching all these walkons and guys who haven't played but a handful of downs all season all of a sudden thrown into critical roles because of THE PORTAL and opt outs and covid has made these games somewhat more interesting, IMO of course.
  14. Nobody (except Iowa) punts anymore. Hopefully teams are going to start catching up on the "prevent doesn't work" thing soon.
  15. If they gave him a lane he would have went down. I'm willing to be coach's orders. Don't score.
  16. Heck of a throw and catch. We have a 4 star, highly touted recruit who can't throw a ball on target. Utah has a walk on freshman who hasn't thrown a pass in a game, literally ever, who can drop a back corner fade on a dime from the 20 yard line. It's kinda frustrating.
  17. Utah is gonna go down punching.
  18. Both teams over 300 yards of offense in the first half, to go along with a kickoff return TD.
  19. This game is bonkers.
  20. I hope everyone who put money on this game took the over, because Utah is pretty much scoring at will.
  21. I feel like PC was really really committed to Mertz, and Coan saw the writing on the wall either way.
  22. I think most football fans know that Lambeau Field is iconic beyond just being the home stadium of the Green Bay Packers. I'd say that Lambeau is likely the most iconic NFL stadium, but probably not the most iconic sports venue. I'd probably agree that MSG gets it, based on the reasons given above. Wrigley Field is a charming dump. Old Yankee Stadium would have made this list, if it were still in use.
  23. To be fair, Georgia was 7.5 point favorites. The only reason Michigan was the "2 seed" was they came into the game on a conference championship win, and Georgia just got manhandled by 'Bama.
  24. Georgia might with this by 50, and honestly, that's what I'm rooting for.
