  1. Three years of waiting. For this.
  2. The whole time he sat on the bench the mantra was "he needs time to develop!" Like you said, plenty of guys come right in and play. Heck, Purdy played first year. Love does not look ready to play. There's no "he's learning the offense" or other excuses that can be made. He doesn't look good. Maybe he'll be ok or he'll improve, but he doesn't look good, and this is his fourth year (yeah yeah, 2020 was pretty much a lost year) of learning the playbook, getting used to the NFL, being under LaFleur, etc. He does NOT look ready to start for an NFL team.
  3. "Love just needs time to develop!" *sigh*
  4. That'll happen when you throw into quadruple coverage.
  5. Aikman has mentioned a few times that analytics suggest actually snapping the ball and running a play on 4th and 3 or less. LaFleur apparently hasn't gotten that memo yet.
  6. 3rd and five playing 12 yards off lol. The Barry Special.
  7. He wasn't even under pressure. Just took the snap and dumped it off. Gross.
  8. The other side of the coin is they could actually try and get a first down and sustain the drive.
  9. the wild thing is they'll get it because most people just like things. a playoff loss isn't this crushing defeat to most people like it is to the diehards.
  10. yount was 18 as a rookie, and put up a 79 ops+. turang is 23, putting up a 62 ops+ there's a lot of context missing there.
  11. when our measure of success for a good turang ab is "he made the pitcher work a bit" there's some serious evaluation that needs to be done.
  12. I'm fine with it. I'm disappointed that a guy like Donaldson is our best option, but it is what it is.
  13. as soon as the HBP got called back I figured we were done.
  14. loaded with none out and get nothing. squandered opportunities.
  15. There HAS to be situational awareness there. HAS to be. Whether the Lions make or miss the FG, the game is a 2 score game. BLocking a FG is not a big play, in context. Lack of awareness gave the Lions a first down, and an opportunity to make the game a 3 score game, effectively ending the contest. A block there doesn't change the game situation. Letting them get a first down , however, makes a HUGE difference. That lack of game context awareness has to change.
  16. It's not that befuddling. No matter how good the guys are, they can only play to the system they're given, and the coaching and the system sucks. Sucks.
  17. I get that some of the guys playing on the line are backups, but they are still NFL players and should be expected to perform to some sort of minimum standard. When the RB is being met by linebackers as he's taking the ball, the line isn't doing even the bare minimum.
  18. LaFleur lucked his way into a bunch of regular season wins because he had Rodgers as his QB. A-Rodg is gone now, and LaFleur is getting exposed as a knucklehead who doesn't know football from Lacrosse (as if that wasn't clear from his D-coordinator choice).
