  1. I think you can second guess the manager for pulling Peralta, but Wong, Yelich, Garcia, Escobar, sure didn’t make it easy for him I think both things can be true. A lot of guys that should be counted on underperformed, and CC just pulled some inexplicable strings at a few innoportune moments.
  2. Maybe the "bright lights" thing is real, because Counsell really didn't manage a good series, at all.
  3. Who do you want starting Game 5? Got to get there. You HAVE to manage like there's going to be a game 5. You have to win both games. Not just game 4. If you use Burnes and Woodruff, there's zero chance to win Thursday.
  4. General consensus is always "If an infielder can make the play, it's always their play", and they should call off the pitcher. Once Rowdy called off Woody, he HAS to make that catch. HAS to.
  5. Woody was probably only gonna give an inning or two at most anyways. After they took out Lauer in the 4th, we were gonna need 4 innings+ to get to Hader, so Ashby was gonna pitch today no matter what.
  6. You can either choose to believe that he wasn't physically ready to go today, or not. I'd rather have Burnes pitching and starting in game 5. We have to win both games, no matter what. Just winning this game so we can lose game 5 accomplishes nothing.
  7. That was practically a strike, and it just nicks an elbow guard that's hanging in the zone, and it's an HBP. I don't get it.
  8. Somehow squeeze 2 innings out of Ashby.... get an inning out of Box? get one out of Cousins. Hader. Cross fingers and hope (or pray, whatever it is you do)
  9. It fooled Ueck too. He said "fly ball to center field. ...." with no hint of excitement in his voice like he usually does on a deep drive, and then suddenly I think he realized Rowdy got all of it cuz he did the "heeeeey, get up ball!" bit Heck is a wreck these days…sad to see. Can we please win a WS for that man. I've been listening to a lot of games this year, just feeling like it's time to enjoy and appreciate the fact that even if he hangs around a while, he might not do games more than a year or two more. He's actually been halfway decent this year calling the action.

  11. I mean, the pitch that hit Heredia was almost in the strike zone. That he leaned into it changed the outlook of the inning a lot. It is what it is. We have a 5 inning game. Let's go.
