  1. 4 yards? Borderline call at very best.... Yeah, on replay it was definitely closer than it looked in real time. For as much as people complain about all the calls that go against us, and the conspiracy theories about how the NFL wants the Packers to lose, let's just take the W on this call and be happy it went our way. :D
  2. Easy to block a kick when you're 4 yards offsides.
  3. I like them running Dillon outside, even if that's not his strength. Can't just bring him in and pound the ball up the middle. Can't be predictable.
  4. If you jump, and the offense moves, that's technically an offsides, I think. It doesn't result in a dead-ball. Again, I think so. Not 100% sure. That’s what I always thought. I couldn’t tell on the second one but the first sure looked like he was back onside before the ball was snapped. It didn’t matter as that was the TD though. I know on the first one when he crossed the line the RT flinched, so that would be an offsides even if he got back. the 2nd one shouldn't have been, but ultimately didn't matter.

  6. Cobb was never a burner, so ... I can see him being effective. His biggest problem was staying healthy and staying on the field. If he can play effectively as a slot possession guy, I (honestly) have no problem with him playing that role in the offense. They've REALLY lacked a slot guy the last few years (DESPITE HAVING THE TOP RANKED OFFENSE LAST YEAR)
  7. I am still always assuming the defense will allow TDs from anywhere on the field. Going to take a while for that perception to change. I mean, IMO this defense sucks, and they need to play well for multiple games in a row to change my mind. But...... they got a good punt, got a stop and got good field position. It's easy to say "I liked the call" in hindsight, but if you're going to give up the ball, make them travel a bit further. I didn't like 4th and 9, so I didn't mind the punt.
  8. I didn't question the punt from the 40. I wouldn't have been mad if they had gone for it either. Punting and then holding the Stillers gave them decent field position, and here we are. Good drive. Now the defense needs to hold serve.
  9. If the ref said "end of the run", it should have been "from the spot of the foul"
  10. That was a somewhat tough catch, but once you have it in your hands, and pulled into your body, you gotta finish that grab.
  11. Really like Dillon's balance and toughness. I don't think he's a 15-20 carry a game guy for a full season. He's not a feature back type (IMO of course), but he's a nice complimentary piece I think.
  12. Dillon has a decent burst and good power and balance, but once he gets turned sideways, he really loses momentum.
  13. Ball was tipped at the line.
  14. Well.... this isn't a great start against a mediocre offense. Just marched right down the field.
  15. It's pretty close between him and Jeff Hammonds. Hammonds was actually 'ok' his first year before he got hurt. He was probably on pace to be about a 2-ish WAR guy. He was brutal his 2nd season, when he played most of a full season, and he played 10 games, and somehow in that short time span put up a negative .4 WAR. I don't even wanna extrapolate that over a full season. I don't even think you can say "AT LEAST JBJ IS PLAYING GOOD DEFENSE!" at this point. He's striking out at an absurd pace, and he's not hitting nearly enough to justify him playing even semi-regularly. He's bad. I hung on for a long long time hoping he'd start hitting even like .220 and smacking a few doubles or homers or something, but it never materialized. I guess we're gonna see next year if he does anything at all to redeem himself. Let's not forget Jonathan Schoop. All Schoop cost us was Jonathan Villar, and half the posters here hated him.

  17. Come on JBJ, this is your chance to not finish the season with an OPS under .500
  18. We can't beat the Dodgers or the Cardinals, so it doesn't matter either way.
  19. Since you're giving "defense" a separate category (fair), I absolutely have to give outfield to Braves. Soler and Duvall have both hit the ball really well and provided a lot of pop since July. They have a lot of pop in the outfield. We have Garcia and the ghost of Christian Yelich...... I'd call the bench a wash. If JBJ is on the roster, he's either starting..... or on the bench. TBH, I like the Braves bench better than ours, but I'll be nice and call it a wash.
  20. I'm gonna predict a Brewers/Mariners world series right here, because why not.
  21. Mitch Haniger had the game of his life last night. 3 hits, a homer, 5 RBI, to keep the Mariners alive going into the last day of the season.
