  1. I'm not really down with Macha using every guy in our pen for an inning. Just pick a sacrificial lamb (Julio) or two and let the other guys rest.
  2. Kind of looked like Braun took his time getting to that ball to give up the triple.
  3. Never make eye contact with the G-Unit or you'll end up getting the "What you lookin' at? You got a problem?" reaction.
  4. You don't mess with another man's automobile. You just don't.
  5. I caught a brat from the "World Famous" Bratzooka at a T-Tats game years ago. It was cold and disgusting. And they don't give you any condiments.
  6. At least Macha dropped Hall down to the 7 slot. Hall has really good numbers against Oswalt. Lets hope he can contribute.
  7. What's Kenny Lofton doing these days?
  8. Yeah. Macha has got to hide him down in the 6th or 7th slot and move Hardy up to the 2nd.
  9. Might as well start a separate "Ask The Toolshed" thread.
  10. Morgan will be missing the Sunday game to attend his daughter's graduation. Hopefully she ended up more intelligent than her father.
  11. My brain is almost ready to explode trying to think of how to shuffle the infielders around. But here is my idea: Houston series - I really don't care much who plays where. Give McGehee a start, give Hurricane a start, whoever. I don't care. Minnesota series - DH Gamel. Hall/Counsell platoon at 3B. Hurricane/McGehee platoon at 2B. send Hurricane back to Nashville after Minnesota unless he's totally raking. NL series - Gamel at 3B, Hall at 2B (will also move to 3B when we need late inning defensive replacement or to give Gamel a day off), Counsell backup all infield spots except 1B, McGehee backup 2B or 3B if needed. Interleague - Repeat Minnesota plan unless we have more injuries or other roster moves have been made since. I don't think I can follow that after reading through it.
  12. 1 Ticket for Donald Driver Charity Softball Game at Fox Cities Stadium in Appleton on 6/14/09, 1:05 PM. Seat is Sec 105, Row C, Seat 1. It's three rows up and 4 seats away from the 3rd Base Dugout. You'll be able to get a great up close view of the Packers with this seat. Face value is $30.00. I'd like to trade it for 1 or 2 tickets to a Brewer game. Preferably the last home game of the year 9/27/09, or at least a game from the Philadelphia series. But I'd probably be willing to take anything. PM me if there is any interest.
  13. Took my buddy to the game on Weds. He hadn't witnessed Hoffman's entrance before. He says to me during the middle of it, "This is louder than when I saw Springsteen play here a couple years ago."
  14. He also had BBQ sauce on his chin.
  15. Looks like the move is injury related. Click on Chris' link again. he has an update. Looks like they're sending him down instead of the DL. EDIT: Bowman left his last start with a blister. He has been moved to Helena's roster instead of the DL until the situation resolves itself. He will be staying with the team and is hoped to be back soon.
  16. I was at the game and saw the whole thing happen. Zarraga was really hustling to get that foul ball in the bullpen. I lost sight of him before he hit the wall, but he was going so fast that I knew it wasn't going to end well at all. Wet grass or not, he would have hit that wall hard. And that wall is not padded at all, just cement. I was wondering why Zarraga was playing first, but the T-Rats are so short on outfielders (3 on the roster with the Komatsu injury), they moved the everyday 1B Brock Kjeldgaard to LF for the game. Hope the guy is OK. He did get up and walk off on his own.
  17. I really doubt the Brewers would gain much of an advantage if the NL went with the DH. Sure, we'd be able to hide our slick hitting, crappy fielding player in the DH spot. But then the rest of the NL will be able to do the same. It'd pretty much be a moot point. I fear the day the game of baseball morphs into a glorified home run derby. Can you imagine Chris Berman calling those games? 18. Sometimes people prefer brains over braun (No offense Ryan). I'd rather see a well rounded player instead of a fat guy that can only hit it out of the park. But that is just me.
  19. Maybe Gallardo could play left field tonight. Oh wait. He has to pitch.
  20. Looks like Rottino started for Huntsville today. He went 3 for 5. You'd think if he'd be riding the pine today if he was to get called up. But the game did start at like 10 AM. Nashville has no game today.
  21. After taking a closer look at Coporan's numbers, I'd have no problem giving him the call up. He won't get much playing time regardless, but it would be nice to see him get his first and maybe only taste of the big leagues. It's gotta be him or Rottino.
  22. Yeah, I want nothing to do with a beanball war or a brawl. Those things only lead to suspensions and injuries. And that leads to extra Brad Nelson at-bats.
  23. We're not too friendly when discussing Jack Wilson. Just sayin'.
