    A number of teams will always be looking for pitching at the deadline. It's the same every year. This is not some freak season where every team still in it needs pitching. Heck, even the Astros traded for Wolf last year to take them to the promised land.

    I'm pretty sure I read an interview with Cutter where he says that he let his Dad invest his signing bonus. Sorry Cutter. You were better off putting it all on black at the craps table. Or is that roulette?

    How do we even know if Rivera's defense is terrible if we don't ever get to see him play? Is his BP catching that terrible? I remember him having one bad game defensively earlier this year. But other than that, I really have had no beef with him behind the plate the rare times I've seen him play.

    I mentioned this in last nights in-game thread. I took a break from watching the Brewers during the Cubs series. So I don't know if he got any starts or ABs then. But when was the last time he played? If it's gonna be this way, I'd rather just have another pitcher in the bullpen take his roster spot and have Kendall start with McGehee as emergency catcher, because we obviously have no need for a #2 catcher.

    I know he is still officially on the 25 man roster, but does Mike Rivera even show up for work anymore? I can't remember the last time I've seen him at all.

    Probably flooded the thing out. Take out the spark plug and replace if you can. Or just let the old plug dry out a bit before putting it back in.

    The effort and body language remind me of the late 2002 Brewers. If we can't tread water till the All Star Break, we will be sellers afterwards.

    Where are you located Cooprules? I did prepress for 10 years before my dad finally talked me into helping him at his shop. But I still am in contact with a lot of my old employers in the Fox Valley. I'll let you know if anything comes up.

    The stadium was opened in 2001. How come this is all of a sudden a problem in 2009? I honestly don't remember any complaints about this until now. Did the hole in the ozone layer grow that much bigger in eight years that the light from the sun is now blinding?

    In my opinion, the MLB players should man up and deal with it. Sport some Ray-Bans out there in the outfield if they have to. I don't remember anyone complaining about shadows in County Stadium. Would they rather have County Stadium back? Talk about wussification.

    I'd think Bedard would do better than any of those guys. He's putting up really great numbers this year. Other than Greinke, I think he's the best starter in the AL this year.

    I clicked on this thread because I thought there was some more trade chatter. But all I have read is discussions whether TH sucks or doesn't suck. Are the Brewers thinking of trading Haudricort for Gammons?

    I switched to the ESPN broadcast and the Brewers started raking. I request that everyone switch from FSN to ESPN.

    Sonnanstine has been pretty bad this year. 6.65 ERA and a 1.55 WHIP. He looked promising last year, but I won't want anything to do with him after seeing him pitch this year. I think he'd end up hurting the team more than helping.
