Thanks Briggs, augie, sauveb, and Rock, good suggestions, I think I have enough background info to write something up now.

Basically what I need to do is a 200 word essay on that Brewers season. Talk about some highlights and lowlights of the season. Talk about a couple players. That type of thing.

Brewers timeline doesn't have much... http://mlb.mlb.com/mil/history/timeline1.jsp

Found this... http://www.hardballtimes....rs-part-three-1975-1980/ Could use some pieces in this article.

I am quite involved with the Replay Baseball Game. I play test the computer game and run a full 24-team draft league for the game. Replay is coming out with the 1975 season, both for the card-and-dice and computer. Part of how they release their card sets is have a 250 word or so write up for each team. I was only 4 years old in 1975. I will need to do some research of course. I can talk about the young kids, a guy by the name of Yount was in his second year, Gorman and Moore were backups. But I don't know much about a lot of those other players. So I know we have some older fans here. Any help you guys could give me on what to write, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Weeks is and has always been one of my favorite Brewers because of the way he plays. I really hope they keep him around. -
I would like to see them play Lucroy at least half the time or send him down and bring back Rivera to sit on the bench. Don't mess around with him like they did with Gamel last year.

Brewers trying to bring Champions Tour to Milwaukee

Plus Brown Dear is actually in Milwaukee. -
"Macha doesn't match the identity of this team, and he's trying to get them to embrace his identity, which doesn't work" Hummm, isn't that exactly what was/is said about the 1982 team and why they made a change that year?

I'm pulling for Ubaldo Jimenez. I love watching that guy pitch.
-
Don't worry about tonight. They get Lilly...tomorrow? I believe. They are going to rough him up.
-
"i dont mean to be a downer, but this is totally setting the brewers up for about 5 total runs scored this weekend..." Not a chance. They will score at least 5 off Lilly. Did you see the video on MLB network last night on Lilly? They are going to tee off on him.

"They can't make an out if they want to."

"It is just amazing to see the stadium so empty. And quiet. Too many Baseball teams?" Pittsburgh is used to winners with the Penguins and Steelers. Right now The Pirates are probably behind even the Pitt Panthers for sports entertainment dollars in that area. If they start winning again, like in the 70s and early 90s, the fans will show up. Althou I do still think MLB should have stopped at 28 teams.

Did you catch his comment earlier? "Probably...the breaking pitches there. Probably the combination of curveballs and sliders...from Gallardo." Really? So what other breaking pitches are there Bill? Do they consider the fork ball a breaking pitch?
-
"They're playing him a little bit shallow. I would say." Really Bill? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

They should have stopped at 28 teams. Two leagues, two divisons of 7 in each league.

Great. Cam is my only CFer in my Replay PC league.
-
Hope so, I need him back in my Replay computer game league.

Man intentionally vomits on girl, father at Phillies game
jhart05 replied to gypcasino's topic in Milwaukee Brewers Talk
Their sports fans might suck, but I love visiting the history in that city and area. -
"Counsell pinch hitting? Why not Edmonds or Gerut?" Probably saving the power for later. Counsell is a good on-base guy, down by two, you need to get someone on base. I didn't mind that move.

That's 3 games I directly blame Macha for loosing.

"time to switch over to Versus for Game 1." Was just watching my Pens tie up their series.
-
I don't like to complain about the manager, but this one I just don't understand. Forget the fact Hawkins stunk yesterday, but the 40-some year old, threw almost 40 pitches in doing so. Why bring him back again? Again, this team is not good enough to be giving away games like this.

It still makes me nervous anytime I see Gallardo move off the mound for a ball.
