  1. Absolutely they should factor in. Gallardo and Greinke, in whichever order you like, start Games 1 and 2 at home. Marcum starts game 3 on the road. Anything else would be a HUGE mistake. (Also, I don't for even one second think RR would make that mistake.) "Do you hold ZG back to get a home start in Game 3 and give the first 2 games to Marcum and Yo?" - Yes!! So I would go Gallardo, Greinke, Marcum, to make it easier to switch Marcum and Greinke against the Phillies if by chance they get that far. Then you have Marcum going in Games 2 and 6, which would both be on the road.
  2. The due date on our invoice is September 6th. So a couple more weeks yet.
  3. With the way the entire Brewer staff is pitching right now, seems to be almost magic on the Miller Park mound. I'm almost confident I could go out there and only give up a couple of runs. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  4. One of the dumbest sports related things I've ever heard one of my friends say was during the 1996 Packers season: "The Packers are just beating up on everyone. This is boring." And yes, he was a Packer fan. My preferred playoffs... clinch the division as soon as possible, then play to keep the #2 seed while trying to catch the Phillies for the #1 seed. It wouldn't bother me at all to have a weeks worth of meaningless games at the end of this season.
  5. Didn't want to start a new thread for this. It kind of relates to the "swagger of this team" theme thou... I've been waiting for a story about this or some explanation, haven't seen one yet or maybe I missed it. What's the meaning of the "bear hug / tiger claws" thing they have been doing for quite some time now? I'm sure T.Plush started it. Also what are they calling it?
  6. Prince for MVP of the NL. Nyjer Morgan for MVP of the Brewers Clubhouse.
  7. Maybe I underestimated. Did the crybabies just give up on this series after that first game? Take the sweep tomorrow Crew!!
  8. Now I hate it even more. 4-run lead. Let Wolf try and finish it. The only possible reason I can see for doing it, is getting him out of there while he's still healthy to play it safe. (Considering they just lost Narvy and all.)
  9. I hate this move. Even if it works out. Let the SP try and finish what he started. Wolf was mowing them down tonight. Why not try and give Axford the night off? Wolf could have just bunted. Again, hate this move, even if it works out.
  10. You know where you can stick that smile Pujols? By the way, I don't think that's "respecting the game" by smiling like that. You got 4 strikes that AB anyway, so sit down and shut up.
  11. I'm not worried, Brewers will win 2 of 3 and prove they are the better team. 'Course I can say that, because I won't be on the field. And if they do loose all three, it won't effect me anyway, as I still have to get up and go to work the next day.
  12. Welcome back Casey !!! You couldn't have picked a better game to "wake up".
  13. K-Rod should be facing Pujols right now. Hope it works out.
  14. "Blech to Furcal." I don't understand the Furcal love affair either. Maybe 5 years ago, but not the current version.
  15. I would do a "LaRussa" with this kid and bat him 9th as a mock leadoff hitter. When he does get on base, let the kid attempt to steal 2nd almost every time. Bat the pitcher 8th, they have some pretty good hitting pitchers anyway. Maybe they get lucky and he gives them some good D, steals a handful of bases, and has an OBP of at least .300, 'till Rickie is back. I know I'll be rooting for him. Hope he starts every game the rest of the weekend. Good time to see what he can do, as they are playing the two worst teams in the division.
  16. This kind of stinks. Since the Crew isn't playing, I was actually going to watch the Bucs on ESPN tonight.
  17. I'm also sick and tired of people telling me Weeks is a below average defensive player.
  18. Rewind that. Watch Prince's eyes. Prince has no idea where the ball is right now, at all. He's just guessing.
  19. I don't know if Ted Williams could have hit that curve ball. That was a damn good, late breaking pitch.
  20. "Wow, let's take a step back for a moment. I'm shocked that more than one person here has no problem with a MLB player publicly flipping the bird during a game. Do you REALLY feel that way, seriously?" Show me indisputable proof that Nyjer Morgan did that. From what I've seen, he did not. Even if a player did, even if it was Pujols, I would first want to know what the "fan" said.
  21. I don't care what other fans think. Nyjer, you keep doing what you do. Besides, he seems like the type of personality who would thrive on a little banter with opposing fans.
  22. Oh for crying out loud, this is getting completely blown out of proportion. Check this stuff out. Apparently they think he gave them the middle finger. http://sports.yahoo.com/m...gesture-?urn=mlb-wp13607 http://bayarea.sbnation.c...ncisco-giants-flips-bird http://www.sbnation.com/m...an-francisco-giants-fans
  23. GO Bucs !!! Beat the Cards !!!
  24. I like this umps strike zone. He's calling the high strike as it should be called. And he's calling it both ways.
