  1. Hey "letsgored2003", we (my Dad and I) checked out the new seats last night, all looks good, so if you do keep your old seats, guess we'll be neighbors.
  2. Thanks "letsgored2003". I'm actually going to be able to check out the seats Wednesday after work. I'm also going to pick up a leftover Gallardo baseball from the free giveaway deal they had at the beginning of the season. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

  4. Question: Loge Outfield Box Section 209, Row 3, Seats 5-6. This is where they want to upgrade us to next year. Anyone know anything about this section/row? Will the guard rail at the end of the isle obstruct our view at all? I know if you sit in row 1 or 2, you have issues with the rail. Thanks.

  6. I agree...maybe us DirecTV subscribers need to rally and write some letters. I went thru about a three month period where I would email the same message day-after-day. I just don't think it does any good. All it would take is for one person over there at D* to spend 5 minutes on this, and they could see the problem.
  7. My one complaint with DirecTV, is they don't give us these games. Also, not that I would watch them anyway, but when the they have the Twins Classic games on, they black them out.
  8. Thats nice except for the fact that Gwynn isn't a contact hitter. Oh, but he looks like he should be, and he does have that name on the back of his jersey. I can't wait 'till they trade him to the Padres. And I hope they start him, so everyone can see why a playoff caliber ball club, did not want him starting everyday. Edmonds is nothing more than a platoon player at this point in his career.
  9. I think they improve on that in the off season but no reason to act like that rotation would be terrible if they don't. I didn't mean to imply that would be a terrible rotation, just not one capable of taking a playoff spot. Unless a few of those guys have special seasons. To me the Brewers are around an 83 win team as they stand. That's about what I'm thinking. Right around .500.
  10. If they go into the season with a rotation of... Gallardo Parra Bush Suppan McClung? Villy? Cappy? Some 4th or 5th type FA starter?? ...I just hope they can at least be .500.
  11. Without a Sheets or Sabathia at the top of the rotation, I don't see how the Brewers even compete for a Wild Card spot. Three of Gallardo, Parra, Bush, or Suppan, would have to have career years for it to happen.
  12. Nice job Jenks.
  13. Would you say the Cubs fanbase "deserves" to get there because most of their fanbase wasn't alive for the last one? Cub fans don't deserve anything except a bath and an AA meeting. I'm also rooting for Philly because I just like the city and area.
  14. Go Phillies!!! Although I was rooting for them agianst the Sox, the Rays "fan base" doesn't deserve a World Series victory.
  15. Maybe someone already said this, I didn't feel like reading thru all the posts... To be fair, he did say "We have more competitive balance than we've ever had,". Which is probably true.
  16. Do other teams do this? If so, then yeah, I see no problem with it.
  17. When I saw the title I only let out one 4 letter word. Only one??
  18. I know Hall plays 3B, so can Counsell and Branyan. I want someone there who will be in the top half of the league in both offense and defense, without a platoon system, and without having to give up any prospects to trade for him. I think Hardy can easily do that. And I think Escobar could put up Hall/Counsell 2008 numbers in 2009 if he had to start everyday. I'm fully confident Escobar can put up better than 2008 Hall/Counsell numbers in 2010. Also with far superior defense at both 3B and SS.
  19. Finally have been able to see the entire episode. Great!! Those without HBO, find a friend to burn it to a DVD for you. Well worth it, and you will watch it several times.
  20. I saw Weeks drop or bobble at least 5 balls (maybe more like 10?) this year that any beer league softball player would have handled with ease. Well, come on now. I've played a lot of beer league softball in my life. That ball is not coming at you nearly as fast as it is in the Majors.
  21. The thing is, Escobar would probably only hit .310/.330, or something along those lines...with very good defense of course, that's arguably an average SS. Do you mean in the Majors in 2009? Sorry, I think that's a little bit of a stretch. If he had to start everyday in 2009, would expect something more like .250/.275.
  22. When there are still questions regarding if Gamel will be able to play 3B, and you don't have any other prospects close to being major league ready over there... Give it one more year, if Gamel can't do it, move that surplus (Hardy) over there. Surplus solved. I also don't think Escobar's bat is ready for the majors yet. They only way I could see this, is if they have serious concerns about Hardy's long-term durability. Trade Fielder, not Hardy!!
  23. But how can you call it a surplus when you don't have anyone to play 3B? I'm assuming Gamel won't be able to cut it there. If he does, fine, great, but it's not looking that way so far.
  24. Yeah, I wish I would have remembered I also have HBO West. I'm just going to tape it Tuesday. My Dad will really enjoy this.
  25. Mods, move this if you like, I didn't know where to put it. Just an FYI... Caught the very end of this, looks pretty good. Next showings are: HBO-East Tues 10/21 6:30pm Sat 10/25 11am and 6pm HBO-West Tues 10/21 9:30pm Sat 10/25 2pm and 9pm
