  1. Bases juiced for Braun. Could this be set up any better? Com'on Ryan!!
  2. Nice. Good to see Rickie come thru right there.
  3. Yeah, Gwynn would have probably been the weakest hitting DH ever.
  4. I was just about to post that lineup. Couple of interesting moves. Hardy in the 6 spot and Hall in the 8 spot. Not that I disagree, just interesting.
  5. I would think Ortiz will Shousie's responsibility.
  6. There won't be a rainout. Uke said yesterday they have a soft roof for Fenway now. But he wasn't sure how many people it took to hold it up http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  7. I would be surprised if Jackson pitches in anything more than mop-up situtations or unless he's the only option left in the pen.
  8. At a game last weekend, some casual fan sitting right behind me was talking about how much Kendall stinks and how he was against the sigining from the start. I wanted to point out his verteran leadership for a young team, his work ethic, that he's great with handling the pitchers, and not to mention he's been pretty consistant at the plate. But, I held my tongue, as I could tell he already had a few beers in him, and he probably didn't really know much about baseball when sober anyway.
  9. I'll be happy if the offense wakes up and starts producing like everyone thought they would. Whatever record comes out of that, I'm fine with.
  10. They had no choice but to try someone else. The guy couldn't throw a strike in a game where he had a 6-run lead. I'd argue his control in these last two appearances was worse than Turnbow's ever was. At least Turnbow was able to throw enough strikes to get an out or two. He needs to work it out in AAA, not against Boston, Pittsburgh, or Washington. He'll be back up in a few weeks.
  11. The only thing I don't like about it is, and this is only a very minor issue, it cuts down on the games they play against non-division opponents in the NL. Like Philly. The Crew only got them for two games here and only play them 6 times total this year. Other than that, I like seeing a Boston, or a Detroit, every few years. You shouldn't play more than one series against the same team thou. Like the Crew and Twins, they should alternate home and home.
  12. Wow, imagine getting called up and the first park you see is Fenway.
  13. What is this swimsuit issue that Uke is talking about?
  14. Was that another one pitch appearance by Shouse?? LOL.
  15. I'm expecting once the weather and the offense heats up, they'll give Kendall more days off.
  16. And Stetter makes them have to use Shouse. Great.
  17. So now Stetter has decided to stop throwing strikes. What happened to him? Sure would be nice to not have to use another reliever today.
  18. I don't think it was unreasonable to let Sheets try and get out of it. I don't think it was unreasonable to EXPECT Sheets to get out of it.
  19. Again with the double switch involving Hart. I don't like that. Unless it means Hart won't have to take full days off later in the year.
  20. Who is impersonating Ben out there right now? That's not the same guy who was out there for the previous 6 innings.
  21. What the heck just happened?!?!?! I leave my desk for a few minutes and it's 3-0.
  22. That's why I'm not a big fan of moving Hart out of that 5 spot and am rooting like heck for Rickie to pick it up soon.
  23. You meant the Admirals, right? Yeah, I knew he had something into the Admirals. But, someone mentioned the Brewer ownership thing in a thread in the Major Leagues section. I thought I had just missed it along the way somewhere.
  24. I'll be glad to see this Pierre guy leave town.
  25. I'm not convinced Ben is gone. He has a partial ownership in the Crew, but that's not really my reason why. I just think Attanasio will pay him, injury risk and all.
