The ChiSox are once again laying it to the Cards, 13-3 in the 6th. Line of the night: Jason Marquis, STL, P 5 IP, 14 H, 13 R, 13 ER With St. Louis giving up 20 runs last night, it appears Marquis is taking one for the team tonight.
On that note, is there any way the Brewers can fly in Bill Hall's father, to attend tomorrow's game? Good stuff.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif I hope the FanFest crew had a great time. I'd really like to go see some drama with the gang one of these years.
I hope all of this ESPN talk isn't a pipe dream and we once again get screwed by a blackout. I'm sick of Wednesday games not being televised as it's my day off during the week.
I'm sure he's not on the 40 man. He was at AAA for a couple of starts, but they needed arms in Huntsville, so he went back down. He's fared very well against those hitters, so I figured he may get a look since we're basically trying anybody and everybody to repair the Milwaukee rotation/bullpen. He's not a prospect that they have to protect from overuse or worry about getting more minor league seasoning. He shouldn't be awed by pitching in the majors as he's been there before. I guess he's just my underdog that I'm pulling for.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif EDIT-Sorry about the clutter in the link report Mass.
Another nice outing by Thurman last night. Is he an option in the Brewers revolving door at the big league level or is he just an arm for the minor league rotation? If they don't want to rush some of these kids (Villanueva), would they consider him? He's older and has some big league experience from his time with Toronto. Far off idea or possibility? Thoughts?
Yeah, I always held out hope that by some weird planetary alignment I would get a call. There were always scouts at my college games, unfortunately it wasn't on days that I pitched. I guess that should have told me something right there. It was cool to see some of the opponents who were being scouted and to see some of my friends/teammates get drafted. Not really sure of the exact details, but my Dad was a Twins draft pick back in the day. He never signed, but I can't recall why.
Bronson Arroyo is 3-3 with 4 RBI against Andy Pettitte tonight as the Reds lead 7-2 in the 6th. You'd think he was facing us with batting numbers like those.
so it looks like the game is going to be close to a sell out. The nice weather will likely help walk-up attendance. I don't like the way things usually go when we have huge crowds.
Good to see Corey Hart getting a start, but unfortunately it's a day game, so I guess he won't be wearing his shades If the sun is out, I would suggest wearing them.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
saw so many fantistic looking sorority girls (they most likely have no souls, so they're not worth talking to (sour grapes to the maximum) ). They're still nice to look at while you sip a beer on the terrace. Don't waste your time on them, there are plenty of real girls out there with real values and interests. Now, if they could do something about getting rid of frat boys altogether, the campus would be a better place. I suppose the Kollege Klub would go out of business though. Geez, I make it sound like that would be a bad thing.
Not sure where to mention this, but the Brewers got some nice airtime on BBTN. They showed all of the walkoff win highlights, today's highlights and some nice commentary about the team.
How is it you are a Brewer fan but not a Packer fan? It's just one of those things. I've always been an Eagles fan. Don't remember what started it, I was young.
Also, before we get too down on Philly fans, we should note that there are people from this site over there trolling right now. I know the above comment is not directed at me, but I will respond. I basically do not participate on their baseball message board. I did leave one comment prior to the series just to answer some questions a few of them had about the Brewers. I left one comment in game threads. I am there as an Eagles fan and that's it. I do not resort to trolling.
Which Phillies fan site are you at? I was at philaphans.com. I have an account over there because I use the Eagles board, but they have all of the Philly teams on one board, all with their own pages.
over20000 at the game last night. Sure didn't look like it. When my friends and I were guessing attendance, I thought it would be around 15,000 at best. I always forget about ticket sales, not butts in the seats.
From the Phillies fansite, philaphans, comes this gem: I expect Hamels to be flat out lights out. This is nothing better than a very good AAA line-up. I am glad he's not facing the Sox... yet. They have all but given Hamels R.O.Y., MVP, etc. and he's made one major league start. At least a couple other posters called this guy out about our lineup. C'mon Dana!
