1. With his speed Gomez is the better offensive player. Neither can really hit but the 15 point difference in OBP is beaten out by Gomez's SLG and basestealing ability 2. Boggs profiles to be exactly the same offensively as Kotsay but can at least play defense. -
Axford can go more than 1 inning.

Of all batting positions where Ks don't matter leadoff is the place where it matters the least.

Sure giving Lucroy a day off is fine. Its the playing of Kotsay in CF over Gomez and Boggs that is just bad. Especially with a day off tomorrow.

Well Gomez clearly needs 2 days off in a row I don't even know what to say about this. It just makes no sense. Roenicke does n't even have the "hot hand" excuse. Kotsay last 7 days: .100/.100/.100Kotsay last 14 days: .175/.222/.235 And every start means more PAs for Kotsay which means the Brewers pay him more money.

All LOOGY's stink vs RHers. Its on the manager to realize that. Sometimes they don't (Yost having Shouse IBB Howard to face Burrell. Yes I'm still bitter and the move costing Yost his job is not really any solace.)

Do they really need another pitcher now that Estrada doesn't have to start and its been a while since he did? Maybe actually have a bench? Of course I don't get why Estrada hasn't been sent down either.

Line drive percentage. Basically Hart ahs been swinging at some crap but he has also been pretty unlucky given how hard he has hit the ball.

His LD% coming into the game was 21.1 so he has been hitting it pretty hard

Morgan was on the team from day1. Roenicke played Kotsay over him. -

No it just removes those 3 PAs. Kotsay has gotten on base 25 times including the 3 IBB in 73 PAs. Looking at the other 70 PAs he got on 22 times for a current OBP of .314. Those IBB had nothing to do with Kotsay or how Kotsay is hitting. -
I agree that Gomez has bad instincts But he does recover and still makes plays.
