  1. Bill told me the Brewers can't hit home runs in Pittsburgh because its just too hard
  2. Its really hard to say the Braun causes the Brewers to go 26-8. 2 wins is a huge amount in 6 weeks even given that Counsell and Graffanino stunk offensively and its really hard given that the Brewers were really near the limit as to how well any team can play over that span.
  3. Good teams leave lots of runners on base because they get lots of runners on base
  4. What's unreal? That the pitcher didn't drive in a run?
  5. Will MLB finally come into the 20th century and have the league hire the official scorers?
  6. Because they don't have anyone they feel good about brining up anyway. If they did Jackson wouldn't be on the team right now.
  7. So, they left men on base. Good teams have lots of base runners and hence lots of left on base. The Red Sox will likely lead the league in LOB.
  8. The last time Branyan was with the Brewers he hit .256/.378/.490 If you do think that's valuable you have a really weird metric. He's unlikely to match that again, but he still has his power. The point is the Brewers have poor bench options and Counsell shouldn't be at 3B ahead of either Hall or Dillon no matter which hand the pitcher throws with. Thats on Yost. And Irribarren is currently "hitting" .274/.344/.329 . He's not ready. He struggled almost all of last year in AA until he got red hot in August.
  9. So is McClung going to pitch from the strech the entire game? Because I really doubt they have spent much time calming down his windup.
  10. You can be snide or you could actually see his fundamentals matched up with his ERA
  11. Ok, so what's Dillon doing? Have to save him for those extra inning PH opportunities? EDIT:With Sheets batting you already giving up one out, why Yost just doesn't do the small things to give his team the advantage is beyond me
  12. He's wondering why Hall wasn't hitting against the left hander
  13. Yost better hit hall for Counsell if the Pirates do go with the lefty
  14. He's laid off the the outside slider until just right now
  15. God another Sac Fly discussion. Dunn went like two seasons with out a sac fly-its luck more than anything else
  16. Counsell should bunt Hardy over for Sheets!
  17. The wind seems to be acting funny today-Cameron's ball looked like it should easily have been a double but it just hung up forever. EDIT:Whoever would sit in those jutting out seats along the rf line take their lives into their hands
  18. You know what you do when you assume? They left at the same time. It was called.
  19. Only Yost would think that he's holding someone accountable by playing Counsell
  20. That's already fully covered by OBP. The point is that outs are bad, the type of out is window dressing.
  21. In 2001 Davis had a 4.45 ERA in Texas, in 2002 it was a 4.98. Now thats not great but given the park it isn't bad. That Toronto cut him after a few starts was just stupid.
