Its really hard to say the Braun causes the Brewers to go 26-8. 2 wins is a huge amount in 6 weeks even given that Counsell and Graffanino stunk offensively and its really hard given that the Brewers were really near the limit as to how well any team can play over that span.
The last time Branyan was with the Brewers he hit .256/.378/.490 If you do think that's valuable you have a really weird metric. He's unlikely to match that again, but he still has his power. The point is the Brewers have poor bench options and Counsell shouldn't be at 3B ahead of either Hall or Dillon no matter which hand the pitcher throws with. Thats on Yost. And Irribarren is currently "hitting" .274/.344/.329 . He's not ready. He struggled almost all of last year in AA until he got red hot in August.
Ok, so what's Dillon doing? Have to save him for those extra inning PH opportunities? EDIT:With Sheets batting you already giving up one out, why Yost just doesn't do the small things to give his team the advantage is beyond me
The wind seems to be acting funny today-Cameron's ball looked like it should easily have been a double but it just hung up forever. EDIT:Whoever would sit in those jutting out seats along the rf line take their lives into their hands
In 2001 Davis had a 4.45 ERA in Texas, in 2002 it was a 4.98. Now thats not great but given the park it isn't bad. That Toronto cut him after a few starts was just stupid.
