  1. Because its an injury guarantee. He'll get market value and play the rest of 2008 without any injury risk.
  2. Its just that if I'm the owner of the Giants no ay do I let Sabean trade away Linecum-he's either the future of the guy that brings talent for the future while Sabean definitely isn't the future.
  3. Obviously Yost doesn't need to go, he just needs a new hat. I suggest: http://www.hp-lexicon.org/images/chapters/op/c11--the-sorting-hats-new-song.jpg
  4. Below average is kind, he's a horrendous fielder.
  5. That and $70 million in a contract extension. Dunn has a full no trade, he won't go anywhere without having his contract extended. So Hall would be more than enough.
  6. I highly doubt it was tipping his pitches, he was only throwing changeups to begin with!
  7. It wasn't just two innings it was two innings with rather bad control and it looked like Gagne was opening his shoulder near the end of the two, a sign of fatigue.
  8. If Adam Dunn and Carlos Lee can play left field so can Nelson. His biggest use for the Brewers would be on teh bench though. I really doubt he can play 3B except in emergency situations.
  9. Reed Johnson=an expensive Gabe Kapler
  10. Right, I'm not saying Hall won't improve. Its just that I think its important to understand that sometimes players are hitting line drives that get caught, they are unlucky. Others just haven't been hitting the ball as well as they should and Weeks and Hall both fit in here.
  11. My favorite is his disdain for the homerun. The Brewers have been playing Bill Ball for the entire season now, lots of singles and hits with RISP and few home runs. Not exactly lighting the world on fire.
  12. Hall's BABIP is .217. But its not a luck thing as much as a not driving the ball thing. His LD% is 13.1% where its 21% for his career.
  13. I can't believe they never mentioned how Izturis got to 2B
  14. You think FSN could explain how Izturis got to 2B?
  15. They likely pulled Bush since he was up, only going to go one more anyway and they might give Gagne two to get some work in.
  16. Molina went crazy over a pitch that looked low and then LaRussa forced the ump to eject him when he argued for a good 3 minutes without moving.
  17. Iribarren has a great deal more power potential. Now Iribarren isn't showing it this year yet, so that is somewhat worrisome but likely he's just adjusting.
  18. I can almost guarantee Sheets was talking about his hitting and Olney didn't catch that. Sheets jokes a lot and has a real deadpan delivery.
  19. Funniest thing I heard was Brian and Bill talking about how much Lou loves Pie. If Lou liked Pie he wouldn't be treated like he is.
  20. Well given Edmonds' history it will only be a month before he has to go on the DL anyway.
  21. He can DH in Boston. He can be a pinch hitter.
  22. Bring up Brad Nelson. He is actually younger than Gwynn.
