  1. I'm not sure you understand what that word means. Pre-All Star Break 60 Innings 55K 24 BB 5 HR 2.83 ERA Post All Star Break: 54.0 Innings 44K 29 BB 11 HR 5.17 ERA
  2. Actually its worse than that, it means to swing at basically everything when you get two strikes otherwise your manager will call you out.
  3. Of course because the Reds didn't pull the trigger earlier, now he has a no trade clause so he isn't going anywhere without a contract extension. I expect him in a Mets uniform come July given they have the money and are likely to be still dealing with injury problems.
  4. Gwynn likely has as many spring training home runs as he has actually home runs in his career.

  9. Well you know it comes in threes. Gygax dies, Favre retires, and I predict Thommy Thompson gets indigestion. http://www.freeyabb.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=4373&mforum=trolllordgames
  10. People keep acting like Weeks sucked last year. He didn't do anything of the sort. His line was .235/.374/.433. Good for 10th highest OPS. Now that isn't Utley type numbers, but thats fairly good.
  11. Since the Twins aren't small market, not really apt.
  12. The fact that he thinks Miller Park is really near downtown says a lot
  13. I'm not saying the Brewers should pay him, I'm just saying don't take it so hard when Prince wants more money. He's not pleased with his current situation and it would great if all was sunshine and lollipops but its far from being important. Its not like he's threatening Operation Shutdown!
  14. Wow this is like listening to Dan Needles whine about Yi. "How dare he not kiss our butts!" Prince did not go out and kick your dog.
  15. Of course if your Braun you got like $2 million already (not including a decent pension) and pretty much are set for a comfortable life. And you can personally insure injuries
  16. Damn, Lou forgot to lock the door behind him last spring!
  17. These are the people who do the preseason division ranking so can we now just let go of "the lack of national media respect" if some fratboy intern picks the Cubs to win it?
  18. Don't forget Greg Aquino and Seth McClung!
  19. Yes lets grill Prince on a meaningless throwaway line! That will keep him happy and in Milwaukee! I don't understand why its hard to understand. His father blew his signing bonus and he didn't get as big of a raise as he expected when the minimum went up. Now you might find that petty, but if you were swindled out of millions you too might have a chip on your shoulder. Again focus on Hardy who needs to put up this year to assure his future with the team.
  20. Counsell doesn't have negative value since he can play SS. Rottino and Dillon can't. And I'd take Counsell over Nunez any day.
  21. It smells like coverup. Likely some Tribune exec's kids got in there and took some stuff
  22. Mike Rivera=Chad Moeller He had his career years and now people expect that to continue And Vinny Rottino has outhit Rivera the last two years in AAA, but he's the sideshow?
  23. You mean the Mike (God my parents really hated me) Hunt column of Yost maintaining clubhouse respect that had absolutely no quotes from anyone near the clubhouse? Yep I read it.
  24. Huh? I'd take the Brewers starter top to bottom over the Cubs any day. Your #3 and #4 start as many games as your #1 and #2 and even there the Cubs hardly have a huge gap in talent just in health.
  25. You don't trade him. You won't get equal value and you're removing a top 5 hitter from your team. You trade the good but not great players early (Hardy, Capuano) and you keep the MVP type as long as you can
