  1. You're estimate for Shouse is probably a little high and my guess is that Helling is gone at the end of the season replaced by Villeneuava. To get under the $60 million bar, my guess is Clark is the most likely to be sent off sicne he has a reasonable salary for his talent.
  2. The Astros have three players in Berkman, Ensberg, and Oswalt. (Biggio is near the end). The rest is old and bad, save for maybe Burke. And Oswalt wanst a big payday or to get out. Its hard to see what their plan is, and its hard to see Clemans coming back to a team with little shot at the playoffs.
  3. Maybe Bill and Darron wills oon learn that this is happening because Mench can't hit righties.
  4. Pettite is already pretty terrible. Really don't understand brining in Coco here over Shouse.
  5. Given Houston's terrible offense, how is Everett playing over Burke?
  6. Maybe Garner shouldn't have used him for the 2nd night in a row after a 35 pitch outing.
  7. Yes Darron, starting pitchers with that 4.62 ERA is so much worse than the quality start ERA of 4.50.
  8. Why Cirillo isn't starting aginst a left hander is the real question.
  9. Prince is 8 for his last 44. That means he has to benched now right?
  10. I'm just glad no Mench batting cleanup aginst a right hander.
  11. There is no reasonable reason to not show a Thursday evening game in August.
  12. And the Brewers are not out of position players
  13. Russ--how soon you forget, Hart's out of the game.
  14. Of course he did, otherwise the DS would look really foolish. I mean its not like Capellan was coming off an inury or anything.
  15. What was the point of that DS? Capellan isn't going to pitch 3 innings.
  16. But Bell has good genes and so that's all that really matters.
  17. How? Sveum stands half way down 3B line, runners can't see him until they pass 3B
  18. It was a strike but: 1) it missed the target badly 2) Turnbow had no control Those things will tend to get strikes called balls all the time.
  19. Or maybe it wasn't called because Turnbow couldn't come close to finding the plate? I mean he has no clue where his pitches are going to go. And Gross made the last out, so Ned could have easily doen a DS not to watse Helling.
