  1. Bianchi's one skill is decent defense at SS. If he could hit he'd be a starter some place.
  2. Keep in mind Aramis walked away from $16m from the Cubs because he wanted to control where he played and then signed below market with Milwaukee so he didn't have to travel far from his Chicago home. If he thinks Milwaukee will trade him he'll likely decline and try a go with the Sox.
  3. Thornburg shouldn't have been pulled and wooten wouldn't be in right now. Because wasting PAs in close games is a smart move
  4. Looks like Grilli has turned back into a pumpkin Have no idea why Ramirez was not pinch hitting for Segura there
  5. Yes that Braun guy sucks. And Lucroy? More like Suckroy, am I right?
  6. Watch Enlisted before you can't anymore.
  7. That power ranking is a stupid way to do things. The projections aren't exact enough to parse fine to begin with and then to pretend you can do much with ordinal ranking is stupid. Its probably the most click bait thing fangraphs does out side of its fantasy stuff.
  8. Just that it would clearly screw up a starter's routine.
  9. Lohse was clearly tiring and Alvarez can't hit lefties.
  10. Who do you put at second? Segura is cold right now, but he really hasn't been that bad. Lucroy would be good hitting 2nd but that has nothing to do with Segura and more about getting him more PAs over the season. Won't happen because then Roenicke wouldn't be able to "make things happen" and have the #2 hitter bunt.
  11. Really surprised Segura is playing giving the fact he has been getting beaten up. And not sure why you take out Davis to play Schafer.
  12. Thornburg? With a game W.E. of over 90% why are you putting him out there?
  13. If you did not see it, fangraphs had a guy doing interviews when the Brewers were at Fenway and this includes a lengthy interview with Lohse about how he developed as a a pitcher. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/qa-kyle-lohse-milwaukee-brewers-pitcher/
  14. Yep. A good center fielder would have run to the spot and been camped under that ball.
  15. The idea that a player who has maybe 12 years to his career is going to give 2 of them over to maybe get an improvement through elective Tommy John surgery is crazy. Yes the point that certain modern medicine is thought to be fine and others not is weird but that is only partially a baseball thing.
  16. Can't wait until the next time the Brewers have a 6 run lead in a near empty stadium so Wang can makes his debut! This is why I think Wang won't end up working. He's going to go weeks without pitching to any live hitters.
  17. Not to get to far afield, but who are you saying were the two best players from last year? I mean Gomez has started the season on fire as has Lucroy. Are you talking about Segura?
  18. The problem is not K-Rod closing, its that Henderson is not on the DL with his velocity so far down. He's basically a waste of a roster space currently and with Wang apparently only allowed to pitch in blow outs the Brewers are going to run Kinzler, Smith and Thornburg into the ground. They already have 4 innings each in 6 games played.
  19. As of yesterday, Fangraphs had the Sox projected to win the east (well, tied with the Rays). They are injured in the field right now, but their pitching is more than solid with Bucholz, Lester, Lackey and Peavy. No one who screams Cy Young but a very strong rotation (similar to the Brewers if the Brewers can stay healthy).
  20. Mets likely were waiting for an injury and Texeria goes down...
