    I believe it's pretty commonplace for a player to use a nearby team's facilities to work out--even if he's under contract to someone else. I wouldn't get too worked up at this point.

    It's telling you to log in as RoCoBrewfan@brewersfandemonium, although RoCoBrewfan.brewersfandemonium should also work. GodspeedYouPackEmperor's advice would be the first line of defense that I'd recommend: logging in with the e-mail address associated with your account. It's likely to be easier to type than "brewersfandemonium." I can't explain the sudden change, though. Are you using a different OS or different browser on your new laptop?

    I perceive a general lack of competence over at that paper. There's a really super-egregious English error by Anthony Witrado in yesterday's Escobar article. A copy reader definitely should have caught it. Still, it's the type of error that Anthony shouldn't have made in the first place. Heck, this paper couldn't even print my name right in my mom's obituary; the other major paper that published the obit had no trouble at all. I will grant that Haudricourt seems to have his English skills down pat. His issues involve playing fast and loose with the facts or relying on his memory when he should be double-checking--not to mention the ability to remain civil when communicating with the readers.

    I'd be afraid to make a decision based on a discount from an employer. I'd much rather go on the reputation of the doctor, my personal impression of the doctor, the number of surgeries s/he has done, and his/her willingness to refuse to do the procedure. A relative had this surgery backfire, and I really doubt that she did anything wrong. Her vision isn't as good as it should be, and it isn't correctable by glasses or contacts. She's also unable to drive at night.

    Do we have an all-purpose WBC thread? And where should it be (since it's not officially MLB)? I see that Jim edited the title of this thread directing game-specific WBC talk to the In-game thread forum. We first had a WBC IGT yesterday. Better late than never. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif As far as other WBC topics, I think the Major League forum is fine for general WBC discussion; there are several threads in this forum. I don't see one that's a great fit for discussing Yurendell de Caster (a Dutch team member in the Tigers organization, born in Curacao). I'd say squeeze him where you can... or maybe you can start a thread specific to players from other countries and/or other organizations.     Yuku doesn't currently offer that ability. It's not that they don't want to; it's that a number of bugs have to be fixed before it can be offered. If you'd like to relinquish your account, you may submit a help ticket. Choose Accounts as your department. Yuku staff will offer you some options.

    CheezWizHed says that Julio's contract isn't guaranteed. I'm not finding anything on Coffey. Being guaranteed or non-guaranteed isn't directly tied to arby or free agency, though. It's based on what's agreed upon in each case by the player and the team. In the case of a non-guaranteed contract, 1 month is always guaranteed; a player gets that if he's released at any point up to the middle of spring training. 90 days are guaranteed if the player is let go in the second half of spring training. The full contract is guaranteed on Opening Day.

    The main board page and the forum pages have legends at the bottom which cover the icons used on those pages. However, the posticons (the ones lead posters can insert next to thread titles) aren't covered.
