  1. Even if they lose, at least there has been some fight in them tonight. That's something I guess.
  2. Why?? My question is why do you give him anything close to the plate at all right now?? Let him get himself out or let him take the walk. I don't care if there is a runner on first and 0 out or not. I'd much rather take my chances with the rest of the hitters coming up in the inning to try to get out of it, then what happened. Either way, if they score two by everyone else's doing ,or Howard clears the bases ,like he did, it's still two runs. You have a much better chance of getting the DP ball and a fly out to get out of it with no damage then you do getting Howard out right now. And people really wonder why this team is struggling so much right now?? Things like that. Just stupid, stupid baseball.
  3. Once Braunie gets it going again, the rest of the lineup will follow suit. He's the key.
  4. This team has such tremendous plate discipline......
  5. Everyone will get on me for being so "negative", but it's time to start thinking about next year. They are done this year. Would everyone agree that they are now going to complete one of the greatest collapses in baseball history?? It's like someone flipped a switch on this team once they hit September. There is no way they are really this bad, after the way they played in August. Here I thought I really REALLY thought I'd get to watch postseason baseball again.
  6. I cannot believe the Brewers would even allow this to happen. there is NO WAY no how I let the Cubs have three home games in MY park when they are supposed to be on the road, and you are trying to catch them for the division title. What if, the three games that are played in Milwaukee end up being a Cubs sweep where instead let's just suppose the games played in Houston(or somewhere closer then Milwaukee) would end up being an Astros sweep?? What happens if the Brewers lose the division by 2 games?? If the Brewers had a say in this and are allowing it, then there should be management people in that organization losing their jobs over this.
  7. Game called no makeup announced yet.
  8. And Gamel once again won't see an AB, even though he has as good of power as anyone on the ball club. Well at least if the Brewers don't make the postseason Yost will be gone, right??
  9. Please PLEASE tell me Ned is NOT going to send Cameron OR Hall or Kendall up in the 9th against Lidge when he has all those Lefty bats available?? Oh yeah, I forgot, Cameron, Hall and Kendall are all battlers then have been through it before, "there is nobody I'd rather have up in that spot".
  10. Typical Crew, both Hardy and Braun swing at pitches out of the zone to strike out. Well, this one is over(Lidge hasn't blown a save all year, he won't start tonight) and Hamels goes tomorrow. Not the way I was hoping this series would start out. I thought it was imperative they get the game tonight. Now I am deathly afraid of losing 3 of 4 or even getting the "S" word in this series now. Oh yeah, did I mention the Astros and Cubs are both winning?? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  11. Well for once FINALLY the Brewers won't have the putrid bottom of their order coming up in the 9th. Prediction: Braun goes yard to tie it in the 8th.
  12. Mike Lamb here Ned seriously?? Has anyone heard Ned say anything at all about why he hasn't used Gamel??? To me, this is a spot you go with him. There's two outs, what is the worst that could happen??
  13. And people scoffed at my suggestion that CC be held back to pitch tonight. Doesn't seem like such a bad idea afterall does it. I almost guarantee Ryan would not be 2-2 already against CC.
  14. Well, time to go do something else.....hopefully they get em tomorrow.
  15. Hey Ben, I love you man, but PLEASE stop giving Howard something to hit. Chances are he'll get himself out even if you don't put anything over the plate.
  16. If Ned would know when to use Gagne(like against non power hitters is your best bet though no guarantee), he maybe wouldn't be so bad.
  17. Wonderful, now we get to sit through a Gag-me implosion here and lose another one.
  18. I just don't get how you can play so well in the month of August and absolutely turn around in September against what should the an even softer schedule and look horrible. I'm telling you, that should have been no hitter by CC has effected this team. That is when it all started. What else could it logically be?? Unreal that I was actually believing this team was going to the postseason. Maybe getting out on the road will shake them out of this funk??
  19. Unreal.....absolutely unreal, this team just has no desire to catch the Cubs, or even hang on to the WC lead do they?? They are actually going to blow this aren't they?? I wanted to believe it wasn't true, but it's looking more likely every single day. If there is ANY silver lining in them not making the playoffs it's that Ned most certainly wouldn't be back next year if they collapse.
  20. Has anyone noticed this team has done NOTHING since the should've been no hitter for CC in Pittsburgh?? Coincidence?? ETA: Sorry, I don't know how to post in pink.
  21. And, it's almost a given the Cubs will lose again today, after the Brewers meltdown. Way to take advantage against one of the worst teams in baseball AT HOME Brewers. Awesome, an almost guaranteed losing home stand in September. Thank god, football season has started.
  22. Wouldn't Yovani look great in the 8th inning role?? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  23. After tonight, CC will be scheduled to pitch the finale against Cincy on Wednesday. My question is why? This means he misses the entire Philadelphia series(way more important than the Cincy series), but starts the first game against the Cubs. If I am Ned(and thank god I'm not), I'd push CC back one day after his start tonight, therefore meaning he'd pitch the first game against Philly followed by Sheeter. You could get two "W's" in that series starting out then and anything after that is gravy. This would also allow him and Bennie to throw in the Cubs series as well. Seems like sound logic to me doesn't it? Especially if they have won the first two against Cincy. Give McClung a spot start on that Wednesday or something. All I know is I absolutely want CC pitching in that Philly series, especially with their LH bats. Edit: Eliminated unnecessary punctuation. - Toby
  24. And THAT is why Ned should have PH Gabe there. Nice job Prince.
  25. I know this goes against total conventional wisdom here, but the Prince has been scuffling, especially against lefties, I'd PH Gabe here. He would at least move Braunie into scoring position.
