Is there a better 3-4 combo in the minors right now than Gamel and LaPorta? This is ridiculous.

I knew it! I gotta tell you, I felt like such a champ after instantly knowing it was Cain and the announcers had no idea.

My friend is a member of Bucks Fastbreak which sometimes gives out free tickets to its members for games. He has sent a link to me for 2 free tickets to tonight's game, but neither of us will be able to go. They are in the 400 section. If you would like the tickets, I will forward you the link. It directs you to the Ticketmaster website, and the directions from there are simple. The only costs are $.75 per ticket for a "convenience charge," and then $2.50 to print the tickets off at your home. Is anyone interested? I've done this method a couple times and I have run across no problems.

I'm fine with that. Miller was pretty dang solid in his time here, and I wish him well. I hope Vinny wins a spot out of ST. I think that would be the ideal situation.

I tried to get the $80 poop brown Zune today at Toys R Us at 6am, but they were already sold out.

Sheets maybe. Parra and Gamel? Something along those lines. Kemp is quite a prospect

Well, Buck would be a MAJOR upgrade on defense.

Where do I sign up for this? Gaining 2 very good bullpen arms, a better starting catcher and freekin' Carl Crawford is certainly 3 of the team's biggest needs. I think the Brewers would easily get better with that trade. Losing Villa would be the worst part of it, but obviously you have to give up something for a guy like Crawford.

I was looking at the list of candidates; what a joke. Maybe if they included players actually deserving f the award the voting would've gone differently, but congrats to Prince nonetheless.

    Awesome; good for her.

I don't think expecting 10 points and 4-5 boards this year is out of reach. I'm really interested to see how good he is defensively; the success of this team depends on how good they are defensively.

If there's a Sports Management degree, go for that. At UWM, there's a Health and Fitness Management degree that has students take a few business courses along the way. I believe you take enough business classes to get a minor in Business Administration. Something like that might interest you.

I agree, dlk. It's obvious when you watch him that he has a goofy throwing motion, and if that can't be fixed, you have to question his ability.

I'm sick of Texas never giving Jason Botts a chance, so I want Doug Melvin to give Texas GM Jon Daniels a call and say the Brewers will give them a proven MLB pitcher for Botts. While Jason is certainly no Gold Glover, this guy is Adam Dunn Lite, with nice plate discipline and a good power stroke. He's also a switch hitter that can play 1b. Make it happen, Doug!

It's almost time to start playing basketball indoors.

7-11-08 - Krivsky trades minor-league phenom Jay Bruce to San Francisco for Pedro Feliz. With Feliz at third until Gonzalez recovers, Lemke returns to second.

This thread was made in July before the Linebrink trade, hence that prediction.

There really isn't a bad seat to see them; you should have NO problems hearing.

Yeah, Kansas City made a nice Rule 5 pick there. After they selected Soria, he went out and threw a no hitter for his Mexican League team a few days later.

    Tremendous episode tonight

I'll go insane if Jenkins gets a multi-year deal from the Brewers. DM has to be smarter than that, right? RIGHT?!?! Heck, why not go after both Prior AND Wood? Wood's a reliever this team could use, and Prior would be cheap and the risk/reward is astronomical.
  24. kgbaseball
Touche, sir, I thought he was a reliever for some reason!
