  1. Need to get some runs in this situation if we want to have a chance.
  2. Some of Williams' worst results this year have come against the Cardinals. He's giving up a .280 batting average and an .880 ops. Freddy, in a slightly smaller sample, had only allowed a .100 batting average and no earned runs. This is not the call you fire someone over. Making the wrong call to end consecutive seasons in must-win games (not putting Williams in now and leaving Hader in in the Wild Card game last year when he clearly didn’t have it) is worthy enough in my book. Good thing I’m not the GM I guess.
  3. Tips warming up in the biggest game of the season is not a good sign.
  4. I normally defend Counsell, but not putting Williams in there was inexcusable, to the point where I would be fine if Counsell wasn’t the manager next season.
  5. I’d put Williams in here. If we give up a big spot now, later in the game won’t matter
  6. Well, we are now at must-win games. Hopefully Woodruff has his good stuff today and doesn’t run into a wall in the 4th/5th inning. That, and hope the offense can get more than one hit/run.
  7. If Jace Peterson is on the Brewers next season I don’t know if I’ll watch.
  8. I actually hope we get no-hit now, even if it doesn’t count. If you’re going to go down, go down in flames.
  9. I could see it being different. 2018 was a team accomplishment. This is Burnes in the spotlight by himself. I guess I don't really see a huge distinction. The guy has pitched in plenty high-leverage situations. He didn't have his best stuff and it's strange to hear people questioning his toughness or whether he's ready for the bright lights. He's had a really good season and he's hardly the reason this team is dead in the water (unless they're going to surprise us). I'm not trying to be a jerk and I realize people are upset in the in-game thread because I've been there plenty but Burnes has probably been one of the few bright spots this year. He didn't have his best stuff, or wasn't 100%, but c'mon now... some of these comments.. (not saying your comment was over-the-top).. I’ll clarify that I didn’t agree with the op, however I can see a distinction between a personal milestone vs. a team milestone in regards to succumbing to pressure. Again, I don’t think that was the case here.

  11. Contreras and Biaz. Wainright. Also pretty much every punch and judy hitter from the Pirates who has given the Brewers fits over the years. If the Brewers would have pulled off the rumored Manny Machado trade attempt during the midseason in 2018 I think Brewers fans would’ve loved him. Now they all despise him. ... both Machado and Schoop, But for totally different reasons.
  12. Contreras and Biaz. Wainright. Also pretty much every punch and judy hitter from the Pirates who has given the Brewers fits over the years. I wonder if I’d still despise Yadi if he would have been on the Brewers.
  13. I believe today is eight. Eight freakin’ times. This was their 9th attempt to get over .500 this season. You’re right. Nine freakin’ times.
  14. Jace Peterson and Eric Sogard are both starting? Does Counsell want to lose this game? This is like the lineups he set for most of the season when we could barely get a hit.
  15. Houser just isn’t that good. Can’t count on him. Not surprising that Moose is likely going to knock us out of contention.
  16. Now we’ll score 3 in the ninth. Oh well, hope to somehow win this series. Just wish we could get over the .500 hump.
