    What a joke. This is fitting that the Brewers finally score some runs and have a “comfortable” lead after the travesty of a series against the A’s, only to have Williams forget how to pitch. This team needs to go into a full re-build. Sell anyone that you can. They missed their window of winning a World Series when they refused to add offense to their stellar pitching. Doesn’t pay to hold on to any of their pitching at this point. If they don’t trade Burnes and Adames this mid-season they are making a mistake. Sad all around.

    Omg… I just got done comparing this to that putrid 5-game sweep against Pittsburgh as well.

    This series goes right along with the 5-game sweep at Pittsburgh going into the All-Star Break a few years ago. I believe that may have been a year where we actually made the postseason though (maybe even 2018!)

    I’m glad. I’m surprised it took 8 weeks or so for the first communication to come out. You think the team would have interviewed him or something and put it on social media, considering he’s our big acquisition this off-season.

    Bumping this as I still haven’t seen any comments or interviews from Contreras since the trade. I still find that concerning.

    To clarify, I’m not worried about him being heartbroken at the trade, I’m more covered that there haven’t been any interviews or any other comments/tweets from his end regarding joining the Brewers. You have thought there would have been someone that interviewed him about it but I haven’t seen anything. I remember when we acquired Adames. Of course there was some footage of him being teary-eyed at being traded, but within a day or two he was doing interviews and was all on board with joining the Brewers. I was hoping we’d see something similar.

    I know Contreras originally tweeted a bunch of broken hearts after the trade. Has he said anything else since then, specifically regarding joining the Brewers? I haven’t seen anything, and even though I understand he’s emotional at the transition, it could be worrisome that he hasn’t referenced the Brewers a few days after the trade happened.

    Winker is the guy that killed the Brewers when he was on the Reds right?

    Nope. Re-signing him would be like the Packers re-signing Kevin King… another mistake.

    Just like the approach of throwing three unproven starters out in the rotation. Not really a fan of Stearns assembling of the pitching staff.
