Honestly, even though I’ll always call it Miller Park, I am ok with the new logo. I kind of even like it. It’s a surprise to me too! It fits in with the minimalistic logos of today. I like that they incorporated the Brewers colors vs. the Am Fam colors. I really can’t complain about it (again, which is very surprising!)
I doubt that was intentional. Very few teams play anything close to small ball these days. I wish the Brewers would try small ball again. I know statistics say otherwise, but the modern swing-for-the fences approach isn’t going to cut it for this team. Need to do something different.
This... a million times. It’s really making me question how important sports need to be in my life and I’m pondering not renewing my 10-pack as a result.
Wasn’t she also the announcer for the short-lived in-between-innings commentary on the video board that the Brewers tried, probably like a decade ago? It could be longer than that. I think it happened shortly after Schlesinger joined the Brewers. Edit: I remembered the person I was thinking of was Sandy Maxx. It looks like she was the in-game announcer for the Brewers in 2005.
It’ll be interesting to see how the Pirates hitters do in the next few series. Are they really breaking out of a funk or is it just the Brewers pitching? Hehe, Pirates just got no-hit two games later.
The same can be said for other places too.... fans outside cities' suburbs are watching other teams too. True, but for some reason I feel like the Brewers (and likely the smaller market teams) have a wider geographical spread for their fan base. The Brewers frequently have a high attendance rate at the stadium, and a lot of those people travel from throughout the state. Maybe that’s how all teams are too.
I’m surprised the tv deal is always supposedly so low when we draw so we’ll at the stadium. There are a lot of people throughout the state that watch on TV. The market size should be the entire state and not the greater Milwaukee area.
I still can’t believe the Brewers are this bad. I thought when they expanded the postseason this year that there was no way they weren’t making it. They really have to turn it around soon, but I’m not counting on it.
I see Hunter Pence was designated for assignment. He’s batting .096 but the Brewers should still take a flyer on him... he wouldn’t even bring down the batting average much.

I’m hoping Attanasio and Stearns make up for this last off-season buy signing some decent players this coming off-season (vs. multiple journeyman-type players, hoping they all match their career-best output). They don’t have to be top-tier players, but you can’t have a regular roster with so many of these guys. It probably won’t happen as they’ll cite limited budget due to COVID, but somehow other teams will be able to sign these guys. It’s just so frustrating.
That’s what putting the ball in play and on the ground can do. Oh well, just glad we didn’t get no-hit. Winning that game sure would have been sweet though.
I mean he got sawed off on the handle. It worked, but I don’t think it was necessarily a masterful piece of hitting. Maybe so, but it was effective, unlike the standard strike out or high, shallow pop fly that the Brewers tend to hit.
