  1. The title says it all. Lesnar is bigger, stronger, faster, and a better wrestler than Randy Couture. However, Randy has a huge experience edge and Lesnar's chin is unproven. I see Lesnar making a mistake like he did in the Frank Mir fight and getting caught in a submission hold. My prediction: Couture wins by tapout in round 1.
  2. It's bugging me that the road construction on Highway 19 between Waunakee and Sun Prairie is still not done. It's about a month overdue. What's taking so long? They are only redoing about 2-3 miles and the project is going on close to 6 months. Grrrrrr.
  3. If you are fluent in Spanish, I would think that most banks would snap you up in a heartbeat. That really is a niche market, appealing to the local Latinos. We are also getting to the time of year when companies are looking for seasonal help. Keep your eyes open for that. If all else fails, there is always Covance. (I'm only half kidding about Covance.)
  4. Deer need to learn to look both ways before crossing the street.
  5. Actually, I love radio without on-air personalities. I listen to FM radio for the music, not to hear what the DJ plans to do on the weekend.
  6. Go down to your local police department and fill out an open records request form. If it is an open investigation, the department may not release the details. There may be other factors which prevent the police from releasing the form, such as HIPAA which includes detox runs.
  7. I've visited/driven through a lot more, but these are the only ones I've spent the night in. I've actually driven a couple hours from Houston just to cross the Louisiana border. I stopped at a gas station, turned around, and drove back to my hotel. http://chart.apis.google.com/chart?cht=t&chs=440x220&chtm=usa&chf=bg,s,336699&chco=cc0000&chd=s:9999999999999&chld=CAFLILWIGAINMTTNNCIANEMNTX visited 13 states (26%) Create your own visited map of The United States or determine the next president
  8. As a note, I've had it on in my radio on the way to and from work the last couple days, and I have heard the same song in every trip. One play of the same song was exactly one hour apart at one point. I like the idea of a hip-hop station to compliment 101.5 on my radio, but this is ridiculous. There's so much good rap and hip-hop out there, and they play NONE of it. Once an hour they will play "Live Your Life" by T.I. Think I am joking? Check their webpage at madtownjamz.com . They list all the songs they play throughout the day. It's sad. They have 25 years of hip hop and R & B to choose from, but they play the same songs over and over and over.
  9. The winner is: Bowling Green Hot Rods. Boo! www.BGHotRods.com http://www.bghotrods.com/imgcache/c816bc337c7e1779a267f65098e8a6bc.jpg
  10. Tomorrow, the new minor league team in Bowling Green Kentucky will unveil their team name and mascot. Here are the finalists for the team name: Bowling Green Speedsters: Speedsters combines Bowling Green's automotive heritage with the speed of Minor League Baseball pitching. Imagine fast cars, fast players and fast pitches! Bowling Green Cave Shrimp: Bowling Green's Mammoth Cave is home to the endangered Kentucky Cave Shrimp, a sightless albino shrimp. The blind cave shrimp has been registered as an endangered species since 1983. Bowling Green Hot Rods: For years, Hot Rods have raced on the drag strip at Bowling Green's Beech Bend Park. The area hosts the annual Hot Rod Reunion and Buick Grand Nationals. Hot Rods celebrates the Corvette heritage and the city's love of motorsports. Bowling Green Bluegills: Many Bowling Green citizens fish in the nearby Barren River for Bluegill, a freshwater fish notorious for nibbling and stealing bait off a fisherman's hook. Bowling Green Turbos: Turbo is the key ingredient to giving an automobile more power! And a turbo-charged team will be taking the field at a high rate of speed! Bowling Green Sparkplugs: Sparkplugs celebrates the Corvette heritage and the city's love of motorsports while embracing the fun kind of team name Minor League Baseball is known for. Bowling Green Mammoths: Mammoth Cave is the longest underground cave system known in the world. Mammoths celebrates Bowling Green's connection with the cave region while providing great mascot opportunities. I think Cave Shrimp as awesome. What, no Bowling Green Harts?
  11. So, does this mean the Sounds have to play here the next season? Well, they did just add a new scoreboard. How sad. Our AAA franchise without a home. Did it really have to get this ugly? In all seriousness, what is going to happen next season?
  12. Milwaukee has more bars than per capita than any other city I believe. It's not really so much a joke as it is true. I always thought Hurley was numero uno. However, I might be thinking of adult entertainment places. According to the Hurley Chamber of Commerce website, there are 21 places that serve booze in the Hurley area. That does not include the adult entertainment places either. BTW, population of Hurley is 1,800.
  13. There is a special place in Hel...enville for people who give away those awful peanut butter candies for trick or treating. I'm talking about those ones in either orange or black wrappers. You ever notice it is little old ladies who give away pennies during trick or treating?
  14. Tommy Harper in a Seattle Pilots uniform, please. I'm a little surprised they didn't do a Ryan Braun/Pat Listach rookie of the year bobblehead this year.
  15. I've been waiting for Helena to place the unsold Gold Medal jerseys back on Ebay at a lower starting price. Apparently they aren't going to do so. I need to scrounge up some money because those jerseys look sweet.
  16. What are they going to do with the old videoboard? I think it would look great in my basement. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  17. Quick question: Has anyone ever seen Pilots jerseys for less than $275? That is what the authentic Mitchell & Ness jerseys go for. I'd love to have one, but no way would I pay that much for one. I believe I've seen the Doorman wearing one. Rickey, if you are reading this post, how much did you pay for yours?
  18. I personally believe that Wisconsin Americans are unable to do so because, some people out there in our state don't have maps and I believe that our education like such as South Milwaukee, and The Iola, everywhere like such as, and I believe that they should our education over here in the US should help the U.S., should help South Milwaukee, it should help The Iola and the Asian counties so we will be able to build up our future, for us.
  19. T BONE, Just to throw another wrench in the mix, but have you considered schools outside of the state? Since you are already considering a private university like Marquette, why not private universities outside the state like Northwestern or Notre Dame. They do not have a difference in tuition between in-staters and out-of-staters. The best advice I can give you is to enjoy the college experience. I'm not talking about getting hammered every night and then flunking out, but enjoy yourself. This is going to sound horrible, but I did not enjoy college as much as I should have because I met the woman who would go on to be my wife during my first week of college. (We got married between our junior and senior years.) Instead of going to lots of parties and playing the field, I spent all my time with my girlfriend. We are still happily married 10+ years later (until she reads this post), but college could have been a lot better. Definitely go out for baseball. The baseball team at my school (UW-Superior) got to go on great baseball road trips during spring break to places like New Orleans and Texas. The trip to New Orleans was at the same time as Mardi Gras. You can imagine the time they had once the ball games were over.
  20. This is what the jerseys look like on the front. I wish they said Helena, but they look cool nonetheless. http://i5.ebayimg.com/02/i/001/0a/36/d492_3.JPG They also have a Taylor Green jersey from the Marines promotion in 2006. I have one of those jerseys and they look great.
  21. Every year, the Helena Brewers auction off game-worn jerseys for their specialty night. This year's specialty night was Gold Medal Night, in celebration of the Olympics. The jerseys are available here: http://shop.ebay.com/item...armrsZ1QQ_fromZR40QQ_mdoZ
  22. Calling them the Mounties would be classic....I'd love to see that happen someday! I remember hearing when Vancouver got their NBA franchise, they wanted to be known as The Mounties, but the Royal Canadian Mounted Police would not let them. According to Wiki, it's true. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memphis_Grizzlies One thing that bugs me about all sports franchises is when they move cities, they keep the team name. Tell me why Utah kept the Jazz nickname when they moved from New Orleans. Even the Oilers were known as the Tennessee Oilers for a season before becoming the Titans.
  23. This guy could have been their mascot. http://farm1.static.flickr.com/214/470804335_a677aeeed1.jpg?v=0 THE CLAW!!!!
  24. The official game recap on MLB.com is really downplaying the call, not making a big deal out of it.
  25. Remember, this is the Menard's Big 7th inning. It's never happened before. Do the Brewers have a single for the inning yet?
