  1. I didn't think the playcalling was as bas as years past. Yeah, some drives were typical UW but there seemed to be more motion, more three step drops, and more passing on 1st down - but not enough. To me, the big issue was the play of the offensive line and the penalties (and obviously the turnovers). They had some really nice gains brought back due to holding or hands to the face. And a few plays the O Line just simply whiffed on blocks in space or tripped while pulling. Just a bad game overall for them.
  2. I guess that assumes your punter can pin them deep and your coverage team can stop him if he catches it inside the 10. Odds are just as good he kicks it in the end zone in which case you've only netted 25 yards. To me, playing to prevent your opponent from getting a spark is playing scared.
  3. that failed 4th down attempt is gonna mean so many more punts from inside the opposing teams 40 yard line. sigh.
  4. well that evens out the fumbled INT
  5. man that was just bad luck. gotta stuff en here on 4th down
  6. offensive line does not look good
  7. I think I read somewhere that no RB has ever come back from an Achilles tear and been a lead dog. James Robinson is the next test case.
  8. Not really an "investment" but if you are looking to buy a used car, you may want to wait a few months (same person mentions Dec - Mar): Investing related - this guy seems like a decent Twitter follow
  9. Irv Smith, Albert O, David Njoku are all good pickups in week 1
  10. I didn't feel like expanding on the sack thing via phone... he had one or two instances where he was busy crawling around on the ground while the offense was busy getting up to the line to run a play.
  11. He always seemed like kind of a weirdo and a drama magnet. Plus he celebrated his sacks too long.
  12. that thread was also moving into Covid political talk because people can't help themselves.
  13. I kind of regret not doing best ball this year as it's something I've looked at for a few seasons. I doubt I can get a team drafted before tomorrow night.
  14. Didn't look like he admired it all that long
  15. I'm not gonna second guess taking a guy out with a 5 run lead in the 8th.
  16. he got old. I don't think he stopped trying
  17. I started going away from early round RBs a few years back and it worked great for me. Rest of the league is starting to catch on though so the board just didn't go my way. Had to pivot and go RB heavy but found really good value getting Etienne with pick #39 and Dillon at #87. I regret going with Kyle PItts at pick #34 - I think Irv Smith, Albert O are really good late round TE picks. I should have gone with Waddle or AJ Brown there and solidified my WR corps.
  18. If you walk two guys you're gonna need all the luck you can get to avoid letting at least one of them score.
  19. I hid a post on the chance they didn't see my latest post before making theirs. Please end the bickering. Next person gets a timeout. Thank you.
  20. I think we can discuss the merits of exit velocity in another thread. This thread is for the game. Thanks.
  21. I guess I don't see how a bowl game is a bigger carrot than a playoff game other than maybe to alums who like to plan their travel in advance.
