  1. Pretty easy to say in hindsight. We have no idea how it went down. Very possible the Brewers had a deal then the Nats pulled it back and said they had a better offer from San Diego. Or maybe the Brewers made an offer two weeks ago and the Nats said they wanted to wait a while.
  2. my hunch is they were in on Bell and the Padres decided to go for broke
  3. Cubs not moving Happ or Contreras
  4. Consider my head scratched
  5. odd. part of something bigger?
  6. I could be wrong, but it looks to me like the Padres are going for it.
  7. I think I'd feel differently if this was 2015 and he was just let out of jail. By all accounts, he's been a law abiding human for the last 7 years.
  8. apparently the browns have a super easy schedule in weeks 1 - 6. some have surmised that was on purpose.
  9. welcome back, buddy!
  10. I was thinking Joey Meyer but yeah. I don't want to be hurt again.
  11. Hope the Brewers see something they can fix in Rogers. He's been really bad in July. Might be some bad luck in there.
  12. I am wary of El Paso numbers
  13. If this was Lamet age 24 I'd be more excited.
  14. I think posting this is ok: Jackson Chourio, OF, Milwaukee Brewers Previous ranking: Unranked My No. 8 Brewers prospect coming into the season is now their No. 1, as he skipped over the Arizona Complex League and went right to A-ball as an 18-year-old and started to hit for a lot of power, slugging .600 in Low A before a promotion in late July to High A. He’s added a little bit of a stride before he swings, getting his legs more involved, but it looks like a lot of the power just comes from his wrists. He’s at least a 70 runner and a no-doubt centerfielder who gets raves from scouts for his overall feel for the game and on-field demeanor.
  15. Crap. Getting hit in the hand can be bad. edit: well he's staying in the game. Rub some dirt on it, Luis.
  16. Ashby's changeup that runs away from righties is such a devastating pitch.
  17. Thanks. I have an older Pixel and am looking at upgrading to the Pixel 6a.
  18. d'oh! Made it as far as Cutting the Cord and didn't see the other one. I'll merge them.
  19. Unless I'm reading SportTrac incorrectly, I don't know I'd call Castillo "controllable". Ashby and Peralta are controllable, Castillo has one year of arby left and is then a free agent.
  20. I hope UPS and Amazon switch to EVs at some point. re: urban sprawl. I agree that it would be futile to "pedestrianize" far reaching suburbs and ex-urbs. Taking Milwaukee as an example, I think you could do a ton inside the confines of Milwaukee county. Outside of that would be tough.
  21. If you're considering platooning him I'd think about it. 831 OPS against lefties.
