  1. I think the Suns are very good...much better than Atlanta. I expected this to be a very tight series even with Giannis. Without him it's gonna be tough.
  2. I bet there's a course near you that offers group lessons for little ones. They probably have ideas and games that make it more about fun than accuracy and coordination.
  3. Good chance of rain tonight. Smart move.
  4. not sure why Woody didn't throw to third there.
  5. He's not hijacking anything until he starts missing training camp.
  6. Fear the Deer This is about as even a matchup on paper as you will see:
  7. Alex Hall is starting to show up down at Carolina. A solid switch-hitting catcher would be sweet.
  8. The middle few pages of this thread were a fun walk down memory lane.
  9. He missed mini camp and mandatory workouts with his teammates. He is being pretty dramatic. And his teammates don't seem to care.
  10. You might just want to try getting your old clubs re-gripped and see if that helps. A lot of people never think to do that but new grips can almost be like new clubs at a fraction of the cost.
  11. I finally bit the bullet and bought a new putter this year. The one I had been using for probably 15+ years I purchased at Play It Again Sports for 13.99 (it still has the price sticker on the shaft). Holy cow what a difference. I am kicking myself for not spending a bit of money on this before given that it's the club you literally use on every hole. I didn't want to spend $400+ on a Scotty Cameron so I did research on best putters under $200. Cleveland Golf came out with a new line recently and that's what I went with and I couldn't be happier. I used to dread the 4 - 5 footers but now I'm very confident that I can knock those down which helps you be a bit more aggressive on the longer putts. If you are on the fence, I highly recommend upgrading to something else.
  12. That Jerry Hairston Jr. trade ended up being low-key pretty solid. Closest in-season “veteran presence” position player acquisitions they’ve made during Stearns tenure are Neil Walker and Curtis Granderson. Both of those worked out well, but if they are going to add a veteran hitter to this current roster I think it would need to be someone that maintains positional flexibility because their roster spot would likely replace someone like Daniel Robertson. Asdrubal Cabrera? .241/.343/.400 plays 1B, 2B, 3B and SS. Would be an excellent depth piece and has a ring and over 100 at bats in the post season I mentioned him earlier. I think they'll also target some mid/late inning relief guys like the move they made with Pomeranz.
  13. That seems like a small sample thing. His splits over a full season in 2019 were a bit different: Home 292/355/426/781 Away 267/332/471/803
  14. I'll be interested to see how this changes things. I bet some enterprising athletes will come up with creative ways of capitalizing on it.
  15. Adams negotiating a huge extension with Packers?
  16. To be fair, it must be difficult to rewrite and reword the same post 1000 times. I'll come to his defense:
  17. Collin Wilder taking advantage: https://twitter.com/WilderCollin/status/1410598304577048579
