It's only going to get worse on planes. They will try to cram as many people in there as possible. I wish rail were a better option in the US. You aren't going to take it from Seattle to Miami, obviously, but regionally it could work well. Much more civilized mode of transit, imo.

We caught The Marching Band last night. It was fantastic. Funny, moving....a throwback of sorts in that the structure leads to some predictability but I kind of miss that in movies.

Finally got around to seeing Anora over the weekend I had no idea it was that funny. I was laughing out loud quite a bit. A very good movie but seems like an odd Oscar winner, tbh, compared to a lot of best pictures winners over the years.

Always? It's pretty rare. There have been 11 total. 3 since Alvarez was hired. Mertz is the first since Wilson in 2012 unless there is some guy that transfered out of UW I am missing. There have probably been some undrafted free agents.

Heard him interviewed on the pre-game yesterday. He isn't concerned. He said he really didn't pitch at all for 18 months and command is expected to be off given the layoff. Body feels good. Shoulder feels good.
