  1. I suggest you take a trip through the in-game threads if you think this site lacks criticism.
  2. oh zip it. you're a fan. no better than anyone else here. I would lock the thread but I don't think we want this infecting every other thread so we will leave it open.
  3. It's open source. Anyone can go look at the code and test it.
  4. BA had him at #17
  5. Reid is really a master at calling the right play at the right moment. You could say the same about Spagnuolo as well.
  6. There are probably 8 - 10 teams whose fanbases can legitimately complain about not spending like the Dodgers, Yankees, Mets etc. Off the top of my head those would be Cubs, Red Sox, Braves, Rangers, Astros, Giants, Phillies, Blue Jays, Angels, and maybe Padres. The Padres went for it in 2023 and had the third-highest payroll. They ended up 82 - 80 and missed the playoffs. They were 15th last year and made the playoffs so we will see if they ever go on a spending binge again.
  7. Not sure what the "lie" is. Unless you think the owner is lying about profit and loss. No way to prove that though. Attanasio has said he wants to make a profit every year. A few years he has said he's lost money. Given that and given our limited revenue compared to bigger markets we are always going to have a mid tier at best payroll. Where he spends money is on minor leagues, training facilities, and international signings.
  8. opening Line at Caesars is KC by a point and a half.
  9. Also fun to wonder how the last three years or so would have gone had Buffalo and KC swapped coaching staffs.
  10. fun to play the what if game on that 4th down spot.
  11. he is really bad against the run.
  12. would have been interesting to see how this one played out had Washington not shot themselves in the foot 4 or 5 times.
  13. sign Jesus Made to a 15 year $150 million deal 🤪
  14. Well right that's why a single tariff on a single sector doesn't necessarily cause inflation because even if the price spikes it's only affecting that one sector. If you tariff everything from multiple countries that could price spike all kinds of things (e.g. gas, cars, car parts, food) which impacts the CPI, the inflation measure. At the end of the day, I don't think they will go through with it or if they do it will be short-lived.
  15. lawyer = agent
  16. I watched The Fablemans on my day off yesterday. He has a cameo as a curmudgeonly John Ford, which was pretty epic.
  17. Milwaukee movie theater showing Major League to honor Uecker. Story w link to tickets here: Avalon is a neat, old theater in Bay View. It has glowing "stars" on the ceiling.
  18. Private Equity killing chain stores may end up helping the little guy!
  19. Jayden Daniels seems like a good kid and the Washington fans suffered through the Snyder years Really anyone but KC is ok by me
  20. My hunch is that the gap between the top 5 teams and the next like dozen teams has grown the last five years or so. If I have time I'll try and figure that out
  21.
