I'm...going to be that "guy" and add that we have had cauliflower-crust pizza, and have bought frozen cauliflower crusts and topped them ourselves. It erases the SO's carb concern and honestly tastes fine to me. The consistency is different, but it's a reasonable alternative for us. Have you ever tried a quinoa crust? Or is that too carby? I found a recipe online but haven't gotten around to giving it a shot yet.
  2. The splits of 2017 for the Astros were crazy. I live in Houston. They were a far better road team than a home team, where they were "cheating". For what it's worth. Why did you put cheating in quotes? They admitted to cheating.
  3. A play or 2 before that Rogers overthrew a wide open Jennings for what would have been the game winning TD after leading a furious comeback. Pretty weird how we lost both those Zona games. Packers should have lost in regulation. AZ kicker missed a 34 yarder with :09 sec left.
  4. I think Matthews is overlooked here. Yes, he's been bad on offense but he is playing D on the other team's #1 most of the time he's on the court. Might be a coincidence but that could be why Middleton is better on offense this year - he doesn't have to run all over the place chasing the Kawahi Leonards of the league on the other end.
  5. And the Bucks match up really well with the Lakers...unless they trade for some three point gunner or something.
  6. The defense is better than last year. Middleton is better than last year. DiVincenzo was basically not on the team last year. In short, they are better than last year.
  7. You mean the one where the guy shoved his hands inside his facemask?
  8. There were so many games where he would lead them down to either tie the game or take the lead late and then the Packers would lose because Rodgers would never get the ball back.

When I was a kid Domino's was horrible. I literally think they used actual rabbit turds as sausage. Somewhere along the way they got a new CEO who revamped the whole menu/pizza making process. I like it best of all the giant chain pizzas now...still stay away from the sausage though.
  10. depends on the wireless technology. I use wireless microphones all the time. The mic is on a wire connected to the receiver.
  11. The Yelich thing is in reference to Yu Darvish's tweet about stepping off when Yelich looked into the outfield while he was about to go into his delivery.
  12. Baseball is gonna have to bring in a special prosecutor to get to the bottom of this. Get ready for Mitchell Report II.
  13. I think questioning Fiers' use of his WS share is fine (it's like $400K so no small potatoes) but that's a separate issue from the actual cheating itself. Although I think his only recourse would be to donate it to charity as the union wouldn't allow him to return it.
  14. Mike Fiers giving his ring up or whatever doesn't change the fact that they cheated. They are cheating cheaters.

I still prefer the deep-dish pizzas over any others. There are only a few in Arizona that actually makes them correctly. Pequds deep dish (I think they call it "pan") is the best in town.
  16. The defensive line gets everyone back...plus a couple of good guys that redshirted. Should be the strength of the defense.

I think 90% of restaurant fires fall into the above category. I am always suspicious when a restaurant burns down and then it doesn't rebuild/reopen. Especially when it is waterfront. There have been a couple near me. Get the insurance money and then sell waterfront property. There's that or use the money to renovate. I feel like every time this happens you get "Well it was probably time to fix the place up anyway." or "We were planning on redoing our kitchen but not for a few years."
  18. Helms was a guy who probably would have benefited greatly from a platoon. He was pretty good against lefties while he was with the Brewers.

I love this thread. If anyone is in Chicago, skip all the downtown deep-dish places and go to Pequod's which is just west of Lincoln Park.

We used to get Rocky's as part of our school lunch once a week. It was a Friday tradition. Quality wasn't quite the same though. Zaffiro's in Milwaukee is pretty good too. Similar to Balistreri's but not as good, IMO. There used to be a place in Madison called Falbo Brothers that I absolutely loved when I was an undergrad. And now that I look I see they have locations all over the place. Anyone tried it recently? I was a delivery guy for Pizza Extreme when they had their outlet on East Washington in Madison. They had really good food...at least to a college kid they did.

  22. I think Potter is a bit weaker of a defender
  23. Trevor Story away from Coors is Nick Ahmed with a little better defense.

There's a Lou Malnati's opening in Brookfield this year. I know deep dish isn't everyone's cup of tea but their thin crust is really good. I used to love MamaMia's on Burleigh but they closed. Their garlic bread was ridiculous. Sluggo's in Brookfield has great pizza too for a bar. Pizza Man is solid as well.
