  1. This is only relevant if you can tell us how many fluke losses other top 15 teams have had during the same time span. There were plenty of fluke losses during Alvarez's tenure too.
  2. I think there were three 20+ point favorites that lost on consecutive weeks. It happens.
  3. I am trying to go a full football season by only using trial subscriptions to whatever service is carrying the game I want to watch. I can get pretty close to watching all of them (since I get a lot of Packer games on local TV down here in Chicago.
  4. I'm kinda glad Mattress Mack lost a lot of money.

Portnoy is a horrible human being.
  6. GI Joe's were the best! I think I've watched all of those like 80 thousand times each. They are NOT safe for work in many cases due to language.
  7. I think you're on to something re: social media. Most people post their highlight reels. You can't compare your life to a highlight reel.
  8. Packers win the next two, then a bye, then @ San Fran. That's gonna be a great game.
  9. I think the salary cap plays a big role in how many trades can take place.
  10. I'd be cool with an MLB and a return guy.
  11. I think it's gonna be a whole lot of dink and dunk for Rivers.
  12. gender reveals
  13. And we lost to the terrible Ohio State team of 2011 when we were a Rose Bowl team. Even when we should have won we found a way to lose. They beat them in 2010 by 13 points.
  14. I guess the question is then why can't Purdue beat everyone else with regularity? And last year's OSU team wasn't that great..particularly on defense. They almost lost to Maryland and Nebraska and should have lost at Penn St.
  15. Important to note that there is an In N Out burger in the Linq Hotel.
  16. The recency bias in this thread is strong. OSU has crushed UW exactly twice in their last 7 meetings. The other five were one score or less. In 2010 UW beat OSU by two scores. People want to cry about the offensive scheme but never say boo about a defense that has given up 38, 27, 30, 59, and 31 points in the last five matchups. So is that scheme too?
  17. OK. Maybe I'm a wee bit excited about Jones with the MVP talk. But I apologize for nothing
  18. surrender_index's avatar Surrender Index @surrender_index KC decided to punt to GB from the KC 40 on 4th & 3 with 5:13 remaining in the 4th while losing 24 to 31. With a Surrender Index of 13.72, this punt ranks at the 98th percentile of cowardly punts of the 2019 season, and the 95th percentile of all punts since 2009.
  19. Okay no offense to Jones, but I’d guess he would get a grand total of zero votes. It’s a QB award and Aaron Jones doesn’t really have that crazy of stats as is. His stats are fantastic, but for a RB to get consideration he better be on some ungodly level we rarely see. To be fair I haven’t really checked out the QB stats around the NFL, but it would have to be pretty weak to make Aaron Jones start getting votes. Todd Gurley was 2nd in MVP voting two years ago. Ezekiel Elliot and Le'Veon Bell were 4th and 5th respectively in 2016. I don't think he'll come close to winning but if he ends up leading the league in TDs I bet he gets some votes. Current pace: 932 rushing yards, 16 TD. 710 receiving yards, 6 TD. TOTAL: 1,642 all-purpose yards & 22 TD.
  20. And they probably get Adams back next week...
  21. Aaron Jones is going to get some MVP votes if he stays healthy.
  22. That was a great game by the way.
  23. At the end of the day, the Chiefs scored 7 points in the 2nd half.
  24. OK how about a 70 yard drive to run out the clock...
