  1. Forearm tightness. That can be bad. https://climbingtalshill.com/2014/03/21/tommy-john-surgery-draft/ Very bad As a Tyler Glasnow fantasy owner, I agree.
  2. Badgers played three true freshmen against USF. They'll play you if you're good enough.
  3. 4 games behind Cubs for WC spot and, including today, five games left against the Cubs. They are still in it until Sept 8th.....and then you'll pretty much know for sure if they are out of it.
  4. I think starting him when he hasn't been better than the other guy doesn't send a good message either.
  5. http://www.brewerfan.net/images/store/dailylinkreport.jpg Organizational Scoreboard including starting pitcher info, game times, MiLB TV links, and box scores *** Links for affiliate audio *** Standings and sortable stat pages ***
  6. Some of UW's best seasons were kicked off with an iffy first couple of games. I wouldn't read much into this one good or bad.
  7. if you're gonna miss on a deep ball, it's better to overthrow than underthrow (aka "The Stave")
  8. This might be insensitive but I wish the family hadn't mentioned the Angels employee. That just opens everything up to speculation. Just let the investigation play out.

  10. They were amazing tacklers the year prior. Some guys can do it some cant. I think a lot of last year's issues were that the D Line was more or less a sieve.
  11. 2 of the Dodgers sac bunts are from non-pitchers. I think they just get a ton of guys on base when their pitchers are batting and their pitchers are really good at bunting.
  12. Antoine Kelly making his Timber Rattler debut tonight.
  13. What Bickford (or Trent Grisham or whomever) is doing is why it's so hard for teams to give up on talented players - even when struggling. Things can click. Guys can finally get healthy. Guys can make adjustments. It doesn't happen to everyone - but it does happen. You just hate to give up on someone you see something special in. The Corey Ray corollary. AKA The Corey-lary

  15. I can't believe Jervey played 9 years in the NFL But about five months into Nala’s time in Green Bay, she tried to chew on Johnson’s hat, and Jervey reached to snatch it from her. “She bit a hole in my arm,” Jervey said. “So then I got freaked out. “I realized that at this point, I could take (the lion) if we had to go one-on-one (in a fight). But I knew that in about another six months, maybe we’d be equal.” Soon, Nala was off to an Oklahoma ranch designed “for people that were stupid and got exotic animals and couldn’t take care of them,” Jervey said, laughing about his youthful misadventures.

  17. LOL. ok. Sorry if that offends you? I am guessing most of those teams already have a few nice recruits at the position and/or a bunch of high end WRs to throw to. Wisconsin only has Ferguson and while they have a few intriguing WRs they are nothing like the athletes the elite teams trot out there. It’s no insult to Wisconsin, just the reality of why recruits don’t take offers from elite schools. I just think it’s a super misleading statement. He was the #14 ranked TE in his class and many of those top tier teams seem to gives offers out to half the US population. It doesn't offend me. But you have a knack for knocking down any good news. It's kind of predictably amusing.

  19. LOL. ok.

  21. Badgers just scored a commit from a TE whose final four were UW, Alabama, Georgia, and Ohio State. Also had offers from Michigan, LSU, Penn St, Notre Dame.
  22. I don't think the government will make people give up their vehicles. I think people will have a hard time using rentals all the time. I use Car2Go here in Chicago and it's great for people like me that only need a car once a month but the cars are generally dirty and probably 20% of the time they smell like weed. Unless self driving cars are also self cleaning that will be an issue. Secondly, the cars still need to move from the yards to the residences and back again. In areas were there isn't as much population density they will probably be traveling quite a distance to get to a residence. I do like your idea in theory - a subscription service for cars sounds cool and probably will exist at some level - but I don't know if it solves enough problems to actually reduce traffic and increase walking/biking. I'd like to read some thoughts from urban planners on that one.
  23. To me the real advantage to autonomous cars is that there will be no parking. Or car ownership. (Except as a unessential luxury item.) I look forward to the day when I can expand my yard to where my driveway and carport are currently located. If I need a car I can order one on an app. All of the open space on the side of streets that is currently used for parking will probably be replaced with bike lanes, which will be populated with people riding e-bikes and e-scooters. You have more faith than I do that people will cede ownership of their cars.
