  1. Keep the discussion to Cephus and not the current social climate, please.
  2. I thought about the other thread a bit and unlocked it. Keep it about Cephus, please. Thanks.
  3. I always thought Diaz looked like a carbon copy of Robinson Cano at the plate.
  4. I'm excited to see Savage finally get some reps.
  5. Now that training camp is in full swing let's make a thread specifically for the 2019 season. Hard to say how realistic any of the reports we get are until they start hitting people for realzies, but it seems there are a number of guys flashing really well so far: - Most of the receiving corps but Trevor Davis, J'Mon Moore, and Whitewater Jesus have been mentioned by name by coaches and writers - Defense almost always is ahead of offense at this point but it seems like they are really performing well. - Rashan Gary has been living up to 1st round billing. I will be first to eat crow if he comes in and plays great. - Za'Darius Smith is another getting mentioned as near unstoppable. Granted he's playing against 2nd and 3rd teamers most of the time but still...encouraging. - Tony Brown is all over the place - Kevin King is hurt again....surprise, surprise. Hope he can stay healthy as I really like his game. - Montravious Adams. Would be HUGE if he could produce.
  6. I find it hard to believe a guy would check out while at bat. Defense? Base running? Yeah maybe.
  7. Maybe you've shared your origin story before, Jim, but I must have missed it because I've always wondered how you became a Brewer fan. Thanks for sharing!
  8. Man, Lazar is having an awesome year.
  9. yeah I said at the time I wouldn't get excited unless they significantly upgraded the pitching.
  10. You have a forgiving borderline. Oh, yeah ... I forgot that Gamel with his .250 average and little pop is the same thing. You're moving the goalposts. Santana was not a borderline all star.
  11. Problem with Stearns is that the Brewers have literally no excess prospect capital to deal at this point. That's why I was kind of hoping they'd trade off Moose and Grandal although maybe they tried and didn't think the return was worth it.
  12. Other than Schoop, I thought he did a good job last year. Releasing Miley ... yuck! Trading Santana for a backup ... yuck! Not making a move to cover for Knebel and Jeffress due to injuries at the start of the season ... yuck! Did he do all he could to retain our pitching coach from last season? In-season moves were good.
  13. The more I look at his body of work, I see him as an outstanding offseason GM and a poor in-season GM. Other than Schoop, I thought he did a good job last year.
  14. Whatever Jeffress had last year, he has lost.
  15. That's kind of amazing. Wait, is that in order of when it happened?
  16. He was 751 OPS In 330 ABs a few years ago.
  17. Guys, the mashed potatoes at Whole Foods are delicious.
  18. I mean if you're gonna grab Shelby Miller and Drew Smyly you may as well take a shot at this guy.
  19. Dude, you need to read up on the Cubs Cardinals rivalry.
