  1. I think success in the XFL (or USFL or UFL or whatever it's called) translates better than college
  2. This. Watt has 11 pressures and 4.5 sacks. Garrett has 14 and 4. Gary has 7 and 1. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2024/defense_advanced.htm (as an aside, Hutchinson had 28 pressures and 7.5 sacks. Goes without saying but that is a HUGE loss for DET)
  3. Browns did pretty well considering they gave up like a 5th and a 7th for Cooper I think. Rare to see a guy traded twice in the NFL these days and appreciate in value.
  4. at the end of the day, it's a results oriented job and the results are pretty easy to measure: you miss too many kicks you gotta go. I understand patience with a young kicker and I really do think his issue can be fixed but a team with championship aspirations has to be willing to cut ties sooner than later. I'd give him two more weeks - reality is they'll probably give him one. I was encouraged to see him hit that second one from the left hash yesterday.
  5. If history serves as a guide, the Brewers are going to say they want to sign Willy. Then they are going to point to all the intangibles as a reason they want to keep him. Then they'll make an offer well below what they know he wants. That offer will probably leak at some point. Then he will sign elsewhere for a lot more.
  6. except that time. way to go, kid
  7. left hash, miss right.....every time
  8. Quay Walker is really bad
  9. be nice to see a replay of whatever Jaire did
  10. you can poo poo Rutgers and Purdue but they haven't been blowing anyone out under Fickell regardless of who they are. Good to see.
  11. D came to play today
  12. good start
  13. I need to start watching the games. I forget who is who between AJ Green, AJ Johnson, and Andre Jackson
  14. I don't think the first-round bye is out of the question by any means. That is attainable. And if you get that it makes the new playoff format moot does it not?
  15. They made it two years in a row. I mean sure it's harder for a team like Milwaukee but if people think they will never win a WS then why are you here?
  16. If the Royals can do it, the Brewers can do it.
  17. stuff happens
  18. What are you defining as "intermediate"? Against the Vikings:
  19. I'd wager a sizable chunk of cash that if the Brewers were to make the playoffs 8 of the next 10 years they would make it past the first round at least once.
  20. Given his 2nd half, I'd say Chourio was on par with Alonso and Lindor.
  21. Kinda looked like the Royals lineup circa 2015.
  22. Losing a guy that was hitting .315/406/909 in late July didn't help the lineup.
