  1. I also think retaining Hook is a no-brainer but I will say that people thought the world was gonna end when Derek Johnson left to become pitching coach for the Reds and the world still exists.
  2. I am pretty sure Valentine was hurt. Unless i heard "Ballentine".
  3. Sounds like they might give that Italian kid, Ricardo Greppi, some minutes at Center presumably.
  4. The Niners (and Purdy) are a totally different team with McCaffery. Mason is a very good runner but he isn't much of a threat in the passing game. They were missing their top 3 WRs and a HOF caliber running back yesterday. Maybe the Packers 4th and 5th string guys are better but If Love was missing Reed, Watson, Doubs and Jacobs he'd probably have a tough go of things. Their offense, though, is built on play action and one elite thing KC has is an elite run defense.
  5. I know people outside of NY/LA might be annoyed, but I like it. First time they've met in the World Series in 43 years, the two best players in the game...bring it on.
  6. Agreed. They can't complete a pass more than 20 yards downfield yet move the sticks and win.
  7. This year they aren't elite. They aren't going to go undefeated.
  8. i don't think so. Deebo was sick and Aiyuk hurt his knee. Their luck will run out at some point. Not saying they are bad or anything but they aren't an elite team historically
  9. and he misses an extra point because of course he does :)
  10. I thoight he hooked it lol
  11. Doubs showing some hands today. wow
  12. would love a turnover here
  13. why didn't they go for two?
  14. small market energy
  15. I think success in the XFL (or USFL or UFL or whatever it's called) translates better than college
  16. This. Watt has 11 pressures and 4.5 sacks. Garrett has 14 and 4. Gary has 7 and 1. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2024/defense_advanced.htm (as an aside, Hutchinson had 28 pressures and 7.5 sacks. Goes without saying but that is a HUGE loss for DET)
  17. Browns did pretty well considering they gave up like a 5th and a 7th for Cooper I think. Rare to see a guy traded twice in the NFL these days and appreciate in value.
  18. at the end of the day, it's a results oriented job and the results are pretty easy to measure: you miss too many kicks you gotta go. I understand patience with a young kicker and I really do think his issue can be fixed but a team with championship aspirations has to be willing to cut ties sooner than later. I'd give him two more weeks - reality is they'll probably give him one. I was encouraged to see him hit that second one from the left hash yesterday.
  19. If history serves as a guide, the Brewers are going to say they want to sign Willy. Then they are going to point to all the intangibles as a reason they want to keep him. Then they'll make an offer well below what they know he wants. That offer will probably leak at some point. Then he will sign elsewhere for a lot more.
  20. except that time. way to go, kid
  21. left hash, miss right.....every time
  22. Quay Walker is really bad
