  1. Chadomac - there's only 10 episodes left so if there's any unanswered questions at the end you have a right to be frustrated (and even then, I hope I they don't answer every single thing....I think it'd be interesting to leave a few things open ended).
  2. Good move for AZ but I'm still really confused as to why they gave up Scherzer.
  3. The fact that he didn't slug well in the minors and then all of a sudden had a big spike his rookie year in the majors is a little befuddling. Maybe he just started eating Wheaties.
  4. I think people weren't so much upset at trading Inman, but the fact that we traded two good arms for a three month rental of a middle reliever.
  5. Even nicer they could rest most of their starters a lot of the second half. That game with Atlanta tomorrow is going to be tough.
  6. I think to ignore errors and fielding percentage is ludicrous. Good fielders don't make as many errors as bad fielders. Sure there's more to it than error totals, but as a rule that statement can't be disputed. -------------------------------------- Scott Rolen had 38 errors his first year in A ball. He turned out OK. So did Aramis Ramirez whose career fielding percentage in the minors was under .900 (his career MLB mark is .949)
  7. Cool article on how the Bucks are setting themselves up nicely for 2011: http://sportsillustrated....x/02/25/bucks/index.html
  8. I remember Joe Morgan saying that in his day guys would come to camp out of shape and use camp to get in shape. Maybe that's McGehee's strategy too. I hope not but you never know.
  9. Offensively he had 14 points - six on two three pointers but he did get 4 blocks.
  10. Well that was a little too close for comfort but a road win is a road win. Bring on Miami.
  11. That sucks. I thought Purdue had a good shot at the Final Four.
  12. That'd be crazy if it was Juliet.
  13. Bucks currently have the 7th seed due to tiebreakers.
  14. I didn't know Jack had a son so I'm assuming this was a new twist. Really interested to see how they explain the "non island" story line.

    Insurance

Yeah, I've looked into it. They offer it, but it also has the pre-existing condition exclusion and they won't cover anything for 12 months after signature date. I talked to the Aetna rep about it and he said that's unusual.
  16. Thanks for the replies. They are really pushing for an answer today....great way to start the week!
  17. I was in Vegas during round 1 that year and put $25 on the money line for UW about 5 minutes before tip off of the Arizona game. That was money well spent. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  18. So if anyone's read through the Insurance thread you know my job situation is sort of less than stable. I'm in a role that is being eliminated. I've been in this role for about 6 months. Prior to that, I was traveling quite a bit and knew I was going back to school so I asked if they could find a non travel role for me. They did and here I am. Long story short, they want me to go back to the old role which would require even more travel than before. Obviously, I can't do this due to school. They said if I don't want to go back to the old role, they will keep me on until the end of March. I have vacation planned from March 18 - 25. My questions: - Is this considered a resignation? They're offering me a job I can't possibly accept. Well, I guess I COULD accept but that would mean dropping out of school. - If it is a resignation, does that mean I can't file for unemployment? I assume so. - They said that once someone files for resignation, they can't take PTO so that means I can't take paid vacation. If it comes to that, I'd just quit the day before my trip but I want to make sure this can possibly be considered a "layoff".
  19. Is that a veiled reference to LaRussa? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

    Insurance

Thanks, Al. Yeah, pretty sure I'm covered but we'll see.... End, that makes sense. I have Crohn's disease which I treat with a $40 prescription every 6 weeks or so. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

    Insurance

OK, so my job situation became rather tenuous recently so I've been researching different options on this. Like I said, I have a pre-existing condition but I've also not had problems for about two years and have been continuously covered for like 11 years. I reached out to Aetna for a quote and of course read through the exclusions. It reads as follows: during the first 12 months following your effective date of coverage, no coverage will be provided for the treatment of a pre-existing condition unless you have prior creditable coverage. A pre-existing condition is an illness, disease, physical condition, or injury for which medical advice, or treatment was recommended or received and/or the use of prescription drugs of any kind within six months preceding the effective date of coverage. services or supplies for the treatment of a pre-existing condition are not covered for the first 12 months after the member’s effective date. if the member had continuous prior creditable coverage within the 63 days immediately preceding the signature on the application and meets certain other requirements, then the pre-existing condition exclusion of 12 months may not apply. So it seems like if I've had insurance, I'm covered although I'm wary about the "other certain conditions". I sent the sales rep an email asking for clarification in writing. Anyone else deal with this before?
  22. My personal opinion is that they saw something in Meeks that they just didn't like. Maybe he's lazy in practice...I don't know. And it's obvious the Bucks are just treading water until after next season. Too bad Redd is so gimpy - he really could have brought in a haul had he come back strong this year.
  23. Why did every pro team in every pro sport adopt purple or teal in the 90's? D-Back, Rockies, Marlins, Carolina Panthers, Jacksonville Jags, Charlotte Hornets, etc. etc.
  24. What would have been a great return for a bench player, a D Leaguer, an end of the bench guy, and a stiff?
  25. Ajay, I immediately thought of you when I saw this. That seemed to be a sticking point for you when they introduced the new jerseys a few years ago.
