  1. Maybe not 97 but some sites projected between 85 and 90 if I'm not mistaken. I thought there was a thread here about that but I can't find it.
  2. On Chicago sports radio, Steve Stone just said this in regards to successful managers (and this is verbatim): "There's a correlation between success rate and winning." Can someone please interpret this for me? The context of the discussion was about common threads between successful managers (i.e. Torre, Cox, Larusa, etc.).
  3. Brewers DFA'd Corporan. Think Lucroy will get a bump?
  4. Seeing Salome at 1st base would be kind of funny.
  5. So I guess Hardy just needs a couple days off? 0-4 with 3 Ks. Ouch.
  6. http://media.jsonline.com/images/185*249/anthony-peters.jpg Alleged assailant, Anthony Peters
  7. A guy was gunned down in broad daylight on 60th and Greenfield just last weekend. That's West Allis - not the inner city.
  8. I think some on this thread will be surprised when they see the guy that did this.
  9. Gamel with an early home run. I think he's found his stroke again.
  10. Field of Dreams is a modern day fairytale. Try suspending disbelief for a second and just roll with the underlying themes. For The Love of The Game? Really???
  11. That bump for Lawrie seems odd on the surface but the Brewers definitely have a track record of either pushing guys they really like even if the stats don't seem to justify it (Braun) or giving a prospect a taste of better competition towards the end of a season (Gallardo).
  12. You are really overgeneralizing, Invader. You may want to delete that before the whole thread goes down hill.
  13. Something else has got to be in the works.
  14. Gamel with a dinger. He's heating up.
  15. Marlo, Chris, and Snoop from The Wire
  16. I dunno. Jones' numbers in a vacuum don't impress me much at all. 26 in AA, decent K ratios I guess but there's no wow factor for me. Given his backstory you can't help but root for him but I really am not excited about him as a prospect.
  17. That doesn't make up for four months of craptitude. Not to mention, it's not like those four hits were line shots.
  18. I thought Melvin said JJ was never put on waivers? Could be lying I suppose....
  19. Just play Counsel until Ecsobar can hit. You might be waiting a while. I think he's about as ready as he's going to be.
  20. Handling is one thing, but that's no excuse for his fairly average second half last year. I wonder if he's hurt.
  21. If McD's fries are bad, what fast food chain has good fries? I'd take McD's over any other chain in the fry department.
