  1. That would make sense since most guys that shape their eyebrows like he does work in the clothes stripping industry.
  2. If you want to get into the "sabermetric" side of things, Redd is still very valuable and much better than people give him credit for. The four factors (in order of importance) to winning a game are: 1) shooting well 2) Taking care of the ball (in other words, don't turn the ball over) 3) offensive rebounding 4) getting to the foul ine Redd does 1, 2, and 4 very well. Given his position it's not surprising that he doesn't get all that many rebounds.
  3. 1)I'll guess Ty Cobb was one of the guys 2)I think it was Yaz 3) ?? 4) Remember when Ginger Jordan used to have people from the outfield hot tub ask trivia questions? I was in the hot tub once for a Cub game and this was the question I had to read. I thought I remembered the answer but when I looked it up I was wrong. I guess I was busy dodging projectiles from Cub fans to pay attention to the answer. 5) ??
  4. "No untucked jerseys - they didn't do that back then." What a courteous bunch of losers the Brewers were in those days. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  5. Taint McFadden
  6. The Cubs window to win a World Series with their current core group of players is rapidly closing. If they don't win it all by 2010 they won't be winning anything for quite a while. Zambrano, Lee, Ramirez, Soriano are getting old in a hurry and there's no one down on the farm to replace them. It wouldn't surprise me if the new owners had a mini firesale by next mid season. As an aside, at least it's not Harden's shoulder. I doubt this is going to impact him much when he gets back.
  7. Redd is a top 30 player. He's very underrated by Milwaukee fans because of his contract (and the fact that they've sucked). The guy shoots well and gets to the line frequently - two of the most important factors to sucess in the NBA.
  8. I have to admit that if someone threw a beer bottle at my car, I'd have a hard time not assaulting that person.
  9. I would support Mat the Batt if Pat Burrell didn't already have something similar.
  10. They were at Opening Day weren't they - not a typical game by any means. Still, it doesn't paint a pretty picture.
  11. I thought a lot of vegans ate black beans to get their protein?
  12. This is not a done deal. Peavy still has to approve. He talked with Linebrink last night about the situation in Sox land (i.e. is Ozzie really insane?)
  13. I heard the Astro announcers mention something about a barista tonight and it sounded good to me.
  14. Stop making fun of The Barista.
  15. I'm going to call him Doug.
  16. Well this sucks. That's right I said sucks. I guess the bright side is that he'll be well rested for 2010.....ok that's grapsing at straws. This blows turd ferguson.
  17. Sobleman's opening another Milwaukee location: http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/business/45127287.html
  18. I don't think you can use stupidity as a reason for control problems. One doesn't necessarily lead to another.
  19. Given he's a vegetarian, I guess we should say let Him have His soy.
  20. I love how Kinsler just stood there on the first one. He did the same thing against the ChiSox the other day when Bobby Jenks threw at him.
  21. Although without looking it up, it seems the Brewers are putting a better defense out there than in year's past. Given Suppan's non strike out tendencies that can only help him.
  22. Good news on Green! Looking forward to having the full compliment of prospects back once Cain returns.
  23. Do you honestly believe that a guy who is sworn to uphold the law is going to go around knocking down children intentionally? No, but I'm pretty sure the people that brought that up have said it was inadvertent. I also wouldn't expect someone that is sworn to uphold the law to steal baseballs from the bullpen.
