  1. Anyone see this? I don't care for this dude but he thinks Jennings is Kenny Anderson on the low side and just south of AI if he reaches his potential. http://www.nba.com/video/channels/nba_tv/2009/11/02/20091102_ricksrant.nba/
  2. Great! I can go to Hogs and Heifer's ( or is it Hogs and Kisses? ) and then stumble into Braun's place.
  3. Is there someplace on the web where you can see game stats by referee? In other words, # of fouls called, what kind of fouls, point differential etc.
  4. Here's another link: http://www.brewcrewball.com/2009/10/28/1104772/taking-a-look-at-some-early
  5. I usually give up soda type beverages for Lent...not that I'm a practicing Catholic but it's a good excuse to exercise a vice once a year. It's always really hard at first - I never knew how bad my cravings were until I gave it up for a week. But eventually you settle down. I realized that I just need something cold and it does the trick - whether that's ice water or powerade or whatever. And my personal opinion is that soda is probably one of the worst things you can put in your body. There's zero nutritional value and I just have this feeling that it has a lot of side effects other than weight gain and tooth decay. Granted, some sites claim it actually helps kids with ADHD so what do I know. http://www.come-over.to/FAS/MtnDew.htm
  6. However, he just seems to do as much as he needs to to earn his paycheck. ------------------------------------ Be thankful you aren't a Bucks fan. Charles Gardner is the laziest beat writer in sports.
  7. Wow, that's really cool. Good luck to him.
  8. I think the sound adds to the brutality. I first watched it without the sound on (not realizing my PC was on mute and thinking that was just the way the video was) and thought to myself "I can't really tell what's going on but it doesn't look so bad". When you watch it with the guy shrieking it takes on a whole different theme.
  9. Or, that teacher doesn't work June - August but..... Just playing devil's advocate.
  10. My favorite part was when Michael defended his dating situation to Jim by saying something like, "But it's working out really good for me. She's right on my way home from work." Ha! ___________________ That was awesome. The best thing about that line (and where they've strayed, IMO) is that if you aren't listening you miss it. It's almost like a throw away. To me, those are moments are when they are at their best on that show: the quick one liners, quick cuts to a reaction or person (Creed crying), etc. The drawn out schtick is not all that funny.
  11. I delivered in college and I think the only time I was ever stiffed was by some high schoolers up for the state hockey tournament. Little weenies. Or gotten a year end bonus.
  12. You are seriously going to use a whopping 4 starts as proof that the fill ins were capable last year? Here are the stats for the fill in starters not named Narveson: Burns 8 starts: 6.86 ERA. 1.55 WHIP Villanueva 6 starts: 6.52 ERA. 1.69 WHIP McClung 2 starts: 12.27 ERA, 2.318 WHIP Narveson's 4 nice starts do not compensate for the utter crap that these three guys represented.
  13. The Brewers have hired Peterson: http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/64874912.html
  14. Mike Marshall doesn't seem to have respect for anyone not named Mike Marshall. I would pay good money to see a pitching injury roundtable with Marshall, Dr. Andrews, and Peterson. I think Marshall might physically attack one or both of them.
  15. Then we obviously have very different tastes because the whole mechanic thing reminded me of something they'd do on Mama's Family.
  16. I thought tonight's was completely lame. A couple laugh out loud moments but way too far fetched.
  17. Maybe that's why he was trying to escape in the balloon.
  18. That was this year? That feels like four seasons ago.
  19. I really hope this ends well: http://www.cnn.com/2009/US/10/15/colorado.boy.balloon/index.html UPDATE: The balloon landed in a field but there's no boy inside. Strange.
  20. Women/girls that wear Chuck Taylors. Not a fan.
  21. If you own individual stocks, I'd probably look at selling and taking some profits now. Long term I still think the dollar will continue to devalue and we'll get into some serious inflation. Start looking at investing in gold, silver, and other commodities to hedge your bets.
  22. The Orphanage This is a Spanish language horror film from 2007. It's about a couple and their son that move into an old orphanage (the woman was raised there) with the intent of using it as a home for special needs kids. Once settled, their son starts to exhibit some strange behavior and making "imaginary" friends. Let me tell ya, it gets creepy. It's really well done and delves deeply into themes about overcoming loss - much more texture than your average slasher flick. Thumbs up. JCVD This was Jean Claude Van Damme's most soul bearing performance since, well, ever. Who knew the guy could actually act? Reminds me of Rourke in The Wrestler although not quite as polished a performance. It's JCVD playing himself and he gets caught up in a bank heist in his native Belgium. The plot itself is pretty much your standard bank heist, hostage flick but the direction is creative and there's a bit of black comedy. For the most part, though, its about what Van Damme has had to endure during his time as a celebrity. He talks about his drug use, the crappy movies, the silly image, his wives, his family....etc. He makes no apologies and is very candid about the fact that he chose the life he led. I ended up feeling really sorry for the guy but there's a teeny little piece of me that thinks it was a put on to curry favor. The ironic thing is tyhat despite this being his best reviewed film and performance of all time his only upcoming roles are B grade action flicks (per IMDB) - the very typecasting he rails against in the movie.
  23. Vegas ideas: http://brewersfandemonium...u.com?topic=18437?page=1 I think O'Shea's is a good place for guys your age to hang out. It's got cheap booze, cheap gambling ($5 min tables), beer pong, sports on TV....and Burger King.
  24. Are there studies to support the his theories? Is this guy a PHD? Of course, neither are necessary for his theories to be correct but I am just skeptical. ______________________________________ Well he's not but he's got two MDs on his company's staff: http://3psports.com/3p/team/
