  1. Prediction: UWM 70, UWGB 69
  2. "According to Baseball-Reference Baldelli is right handed. " Well then there goes that idea. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif I could have swore he was a lefty.
  3. "were all more enjoyable interactions than when it was just Pitt and Blanchette. " Agreed. Didn't sense any chemistry there at all.
  4. Even so, I would have loved Baldelli as a left handed option off the bench and a potential platoon with Hart.
  5. JJ, I was only talking about weather. It seemed like that was the determining factor according to you - maybe I misread your post - but there are plenty of cold weather places that sign free agents. The next question is "why are they able to?" To me, winning and payroll are the big factors. Stuff to do in the city may have an impact but if you're married with kids one place is the same as the next - especially if the wife and kids don't make the move with you.
  6. "Players would prefer to live in a warmer climate year round" They do. They live in AZ, Cali, or Florida in the winter and in Milwaukee, Chicago, Boston, Detroit, etc. during the summer. It's less to do with weather and more to do with the fact that Milwaukee is a small town with little to do (for a guy in his 20's with millions in the bank - I happen to like MKE).
  7. Wow, UW just creams Northwestern. I didn't get a chance to see the game but I thought it would be much closer.
  8. I wish I'd seen this thread earlier. I just went through security at O'Hare and could have asked someone. If I think of it, I'll ask when I land although I'm guessing the Philadelphia airport is full of dipwads that may not know the answer.
  9. Was his name Taint McFadden?
  10. Does anyone with mad photoshop skillz mind putting a Trevor Hoffman brewer jersey together? I have a friend I need to impress/mock/taunt
  11. " I think he has some kind of disease/deficiency/illness but I am not sure on that. " alopecia areata
  12. People talk about him being injury prone but one of those injuries was pretty fluky - when the ump was taunting him and Bradley ended up wrecking his knee as he went on a tirade. This is a good move for the Cubs.
  13. Louisville hasn't played a true 'away' game yet. Only neutral courts (they lost both games). Isn't that kind of odd? And the Big East is ridiculous. There are 4 legit national champion contenders (Pitt, UConn, West Virginia, G'Town) and three more sweet 16/Great 8 types (Louisville, Marquette, 'Nova) The Big Ten will be lucky to get a team in the Final 8. Edit: And before someone jumps on me for my West Virginia pick, I'm a Ken Pomeroy disciple. His word is law.
  14. I saw X-Files 2 yesterday. Wow, was that awful. Saw Benjamin Button and Seven Pounds this weekend. Button was pretty good but too long. And I know I'm in a very small minority but I actually liked Seven Pounds even though the plot was rather ridiculous when you thought about it. I chose not to and my ignorance was paid off - even though I saw the ending coming a mile away.
  15. Yeah he just graduated last year so there's probably some leftover animosity. It was pretty blatant though.
  16. Well if you're hammered, 6 months on the bus means you got off easy.
  17. I thought some states automatically suspended your license if you refused all the field tests. I might be wrong on that though.
  18. I thought Man on Wire was OK. I didn't think it was as thrilling as some made it seem to be. Decent rental.
  19. Did you know that the term Peeping Tom was first coined when some dude named Tom took a peek at Ms Godiva as she rode through the streets? I believe Fatter than Joey is a direct descendant of his.
  20. My whole life I thought my mom's side was Irish. Then about five years ago my mom told me that her dad thought he was Scottish. Even more crazy is that his brother thought they were Irish. So I'm not really sure if I'm irish or scottish - I'm probably both given the mutt nature of my lineage. I do know that I'm a direct descendant of Lady Godiva...so, there's that.
  21. I received total consciousness. So I got that goin' for me.....which is nice.
  22. There was a segment on one of the NFL pre game shows a long time ago about this very subject. Some math professor was interviewed and then summarily whipped by the talking heads.
  23. I throw up.
  24. I would like a full episode on what Creed does after work. I think they could just follow him around for a whole show and it'd be pretty funny.
  25. From Boston Globe: http://www.boston.com/spo...offseason_of_hope/?page=4
